Sturdy, real pencil writes and erases. But I use it for it's length, easy to hold, easy to see, nice color. That it starts odd funny conversations is a small bonus.

It actually writes lol. My kid brought it to school and when the teacher asked for the kids to take out there pencils, she brought this out as normal as possible. The kids around her and the teacher burst into laughter. It was worth it lol.
