Fishman Loudbox Micro 40-watt 1 x 5.25-inch Acoustic Combo Amp

This is a review of the Fishman Loudbox Micro Amp. I love this amp. I recently got myself an acoustic/electric Ovation guitar. A present to myself. I already have Marshall and Fender amps for my electric guitar, but I hear that those types of amps do not allow the acoustic pure qualities of an acoustic guitar ring out. This is truly a micro amp. It's about the size of a lunchbox. But even as a small amp, it has a good deal of power as well as nice functions, such as Reverb and Chorus. Plus it has a separate channel for a microphone, if you were so inclined. Certainly worth the money. I play guitar for my own enjoyment. I have no plans to perform live, but if I ever change my mind, this is the amp to use. My verdict: 5 stars.

Produces a robust, radiant, resonant sound. Plugging in takes a bit of planning. First you plug the AC chord into the wall plug. Then you plug the DC adapter in the AC "brick." Then you plug in your instrument. This relay system reduces the weight of the combo amp unit. But, at first it seemed a bit cumbersome to me. Besides that, it's a perfect unit. 9 pounds. Easy to carry.

Was looking to electrify my Godin classical guitar. I knew this might be challenging to get a nice nylon string tone but this amp works for nylon really good. Nice and small for my studio. I use it to learn and rehearse songs with some volume and quality tone. This amp delivers. Five star because it did exactly what I wanted it t do.

I bought this after watching several Youtube testimonials what a great Amp / Mixer it is all in one 10 lb box! Can be used for busking, like street musicians in NY. Need to bring a small battery to give it AC power, I used a small 3 lb 300W battery/inverter, works well with this as it i only needs 40W, sound is great. 2 channels for sound input, Mic and instrument (like a electric guitar or acoustic with pickup). Also has Aux input, can use that to plug in MP3 player to moonlight as a DJ, use this just as an AMP for MP3 player. XLP output jack to connect sound to a computer or another system. Practical for a one person system! Handle is great to move around.

Great sounding small practice amp with a much bigger sound than I expected.

Came to me without a power chord. Fishman customer service was rude, argumentative and tried to make me pay for a power chord rather than send it. Product is good, but after all the trouble I had a bad taste in my mouth about it. Fishman is not easy to work with. I’ll buy Fender Brand here on out. Customer service is important to me and Fishman doesn’t have it. Go for Fender, you will probably be missing the power chord or missing item plus bad customer service if you buy from Fishman. I was very disappointed with the interaction.

The sound and quality of this little amp continues to impress me. Worth every penny and then some.

Bought this for the weight and I only play small venues and did want to lug the 60W around. 40W works perfect for me. So far it is working out fine and I especially like using it with my baritone ukes and my Cordoba Negra Flamenco both nylon string. But is also sounds great using my Epiphone Hummingbird. I especially like the fact that I can hook up a mic to it also. The title said Deluxe Carry Bag. It ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT COME WITH A CARRY BAG. It does have a handle on top to carry it but NO carry bag. So, they might need to change the description and take off the description that denotes Carry Bag

I am a fan of Martin guitars! Another reason is they always use Fishman pickups, which I like as they have that authentic acoustic tones with the guitars! Now they have this acoustic amp which I felt was very appropriate to compliment Martin guitars! As for me, it truly is! I received the amp today and was eager to try it out. What more can I say...a very satisfied, acoustic customer indeed!
