EXTREMELY useful for anyone with tmj or facial pain
EXTREMELY useful for anyone with tmj or facial pain. Please write another for different body parts or expand this to all face /neck muscles! The general pattern can be used for the rest of the muscles in the face, but it's more difficult for thicker muscles.

The most basic overview, nothing more
Granted, there were only 2 other reviews, but as a massage therapist specializing in TMJD, I was expecting more from this book. What I got was a very basic overview of TMJD anatomy, very little pathology, and a simple outline of a TMJD routine. The illustrations are probably the best part of the book explaining the anatomy and trigger point referral patterns. I was considering returning the book but may keep it for the illustrations. Pro: if you need a simple introduction to TMJ dysfunction and a few self-help pointers, this might be the book for you.

Easy to Understand for the Regular Patient
Amazing and well done book. It does a great job of simplifying the anatomy of the jaw and introducing topics many likely don't know, like fascia. The pictures are AMAZING and seriously so helpful. I love the set up of the book, the images, and the text. I love everything about this book. I'm a pain management coach for TMJ and whenever I see someone who might be struggling from muscle pain related to TMJ pain, I recommend this book. All the time. To everyone. In my own book, I even reference this book many times because it's so helpful to give a visual idea of the jaw muscles, especially the ones we can't see!! Highly recommend to anybody looking to take jaw pain into their own hands by taking action.
