The Cutco Petite Chef Knife is indeed dishwasher safe! **Q: How do I package the knives to be sharpened?** A: The Way I've always done it, is to take a piece of cardboard just bigger than double the width of the blade (plus a half inch) and fold it in half around the blade and put the sharp side in facing the fold. Then wrap the whole thing up in something (bubble wrap or a rag) then mail it in a bubble mailer. However, for the straight edges I just bought a little knife sharpener for like $15 and I do those ones at home myself whenever they dull.Ok. I just checked Cutco's site and they don't like the bubble mailers. I do because I use to work in shipping, but I guess with knives you want to ship them in a cardboard box. **Q: Is this a genuine cutco product?
