These were exactly what I wanted! Except they're too small for the Giant Bolt I have. I thought I knew how to measure it, obviously I didn't . But now I think I need 8 mm.

I made a jig for my drill press and ordered these knobs for the adjustment bolts. They thread on to the 1/4-20 bolt nicely and they are just the right size to be out of the way when I'm using the jig.

I ordered these for use as locking knobs on a small woodworking project. They will work just fine for that. The threading, however, is a bit less precise than I would ordinarily prefer. That is, they wobble somewhat loosely while moving on the bolt threads. For most uses, this is probably acceptable, but if the intended use requires precision, e.g., a box-joint jig relying on a count of knob turns between cuts, it could be a problem.

I bought these so I could replace the wingnut on my Franklin Arsenal vibratory tumbler. Makes it much easier to fasten the lid down. Works great and good quality! Updated: I have used these during numerous tumbles and they work great. Fantastic upgrade to the FA. Spin them on and spin them off. No more messing about with wing nuts!

The ball bell on mic stands was getting stripped out by stupid people so I thought I would try these. It stopped people from stripping the threads but most can't tighten the stand to stop dropping. Since the mic stands are put in a van last they tend to settle on the trips and quite often would break the plastic. The knobs are great, just not for what I was using them for. Threads are smooth and high quality as is the plastic
