Because I have difficulty in maintaining my own body heat especially my feet being able to switch on my electric blanket when I'm feeling a bit cold definitely saves me money as I don't have to put my heating on which is helpful in the current situation and the fact that it automatically goes from hot for 90 minutes and goes down to medium temperature for another 90 minutes before going down to low before it switches off is ideal and saves you money for the price I think that it's value for money because I bought a more sophisticated and expensive one but after only having it for a day it switched itself off and I couldn't get it to switch on again so had to send it back to the supplier but I am well pleased with this one so much so that after I ordered one in Dec I bought myself a 2nd one so when I need to put one in the wash I can plug in the other one.

This was perfect for me/ Quite plush material. Really comfortable.I always used heat setting 5 - 6 was too hot for me.But after only one month the LED display started flashing and it never worked again. Even though I checked all settings - the LED continued to flash but it never got hot again.....I read the reviews and this has happened to at least one other customer.I contacted Amazon to ask for the link to talk tot he seller for troubleshooting tips-because it was after more than one month-so no warranty - but Amazon immediately refunded me - this made me wonder why they are advertising it as "Amazon's Choice"

The item works great, the only issue i have is its not good for those with larger waist lines, but aside from that it is great for what i need it for.
