Fantastic quality mussels
These are extremely high quality and delicious. Easily the best packaged mussels available. These are comparable to the fresh mussels I had when I visited the Mediterranean. Try refrigerating them with just a squeeze of fresh lemon. So, so delicious. And ladies these are really excellent for mood swings while pregnant/ postpartum. Chock full of manganese. I would give these 20 stars out of 5 if I could.

Bad texture for octopus.
TERRIBLE.Octopus fell apart in my mouth with a texture more like mealy tofu.Won't buy again.Don't recommend.

Meaty tender mussels, albeit a bit tart
I eat a lot of tinned fish, though shellfish makes up a minority of them, mostly on account of their having less meat. Normally I don't buy larger tins/jars than I can consume in a single serving, as I don't like cold fish, but I wanted to try these anyway. I like mussels and don't have frequent opportunities to eat them. These mussels are quite tasty - they are meaty, not gritty at all really. Better than other tinned mussels I've had. They do have a mildly tart flavor to them, doubtlessly from the vinegar and citric acid. It was enough to turn another family member off of them, and it does tend to compete with the flavor of the mussel itself, but I didn't mind it. They would probably be better drained and plated; I had mine at room temp (or chilled) right out of the jar, as is my way of eating tinned fish. The sunflower oil was inoffensive, as it usually is; it contributed nothing to the flavor, but it doesn't have to eitherIf you don't mind the vinegar/citric acid contribution, I'd recommend them.

Not for me
No matter how I seasoned or sauced the product, I did not like the taste. Not for everyone.
