I bought this for a 14 year old. It's fine. I don't think I'd be hiking in it but it's fine for the but stop on a rainy day.

Great value for your money with this jacket was nice and warm waterproof

My son walks a lot and sometimes, he gets caught in the rain. Especially in spring and fall, when weather tends to be more unpredictable.He often comes home shivering and a bit wet. We live in the country and when he walks country roads, he can't just duck into a store or under an awning to escape the rain. He has to walk in it.This coat is perfect for him because it's waterproof and wind resistant.But it also has pockets for his phone and other items. He especially likes the inside pocket, though. He likes to keep his phone dry. But he said it being closer to his body lets him feel the vibration when it rang.The zipper is reliable and smooth. And he likes the ability to tighten the cuffs, so his arms stay dry if he has to raise his arms to adjust his hood or something.He also likes the drawstring around the fact.He wore it a few days ago and walked to town. He was caught in an unpredicted rain storm with sleet and wind gusts. He said the coat kept him warm and dry and the hood didn't keep blowing off his head with every wind gust.He went outside yesterday, not wearing it but wearing his hoodie instead, and had the same thing happen. he came home with his head wet, his sleeves wet to his elbows and his phone was wet from being in his front pocket - which was also wet.He said he regretted not wearing the windbreaker jacket because he felt chilled to the bone and miserable while walking, and didn't feel that way when wearing the jacket.I am going to add a strip of reflective tape along the bottom of the coat, so people can see him as he walks down dark country roads.It would be nice if this had some sort of reflective feature, but that's a 'wish' suggestion and not to be considered a criticism in any way at all.I highly recommend this for anyone who is outside a lot and wants a coat to wear during those seasons when you aren't using a full-blown parka but still need something to keep you warm and dry during cooler transition seasons like spring and fall.

I have a very similar jacket to this, but it has a bunch of dumb pockets on the sleeves, doesn't have a hood, and is getting a bit old, so I liked the idea of this one.It's well-made, very comfortable, and a good pick for when it's in the high 40s or 50s---especially if it's kind of gross and wet outside.The large fits well, although I feel like maybe it could use an extra inch in length (I'm 6'4", though). It's also just a wee bit boxier than I'd like, but that is just the cut. I feel like $35-40 would be a sweet spot for the price, and right now it's sitting a bit higher than that.Still, I do like it and will be wearing it regularly when I need an extra layer!

Picked this up because I needed a jacket that wasn't super super heavy, but also didn't absorb all the rain. This has been great. It's warm enough and works great in the rain. The hood feels a little big, but that's really the only complaint I've had. Very very happy with this jacket.

THIS JACKET IS NOT WATERPROOF A windbreaker I give you that, warm I give you that...WATERPROOF IT IS NOT. ANYTHING BUT WATERPROOF AS A MATTER OF FACT IT ACTED AS A SPONGE IT SOAKED ALL THE WATER.

This is a nice jacket! Well made, warm, and looks nice as well. The sizing seems trued to size.

The soft shell fleece men’s jacket arrived this week and my husband loves it. We moved a few weeks back and our new home has walking trails. He was needing a good jacket to walk in and this one is perfect. It is very soft and looks very stylish. I know he will get a lot of wear out of this throughout the winter months.
