Perfect for Storing Probes on the Grill... Good Quality
I was looking for probes holders to store my probes for my Rectec RT-700 on my grill to eliminate that jumbled mess of probe wires on the bottom shelf. I saw these and decided to give them a chance. What mainly appealed to was they were magnetic and the orange color seemed to match the orange on my Blackstone. I guess I am a bit vain but wanted that Black and Orange theme for my grills. The probes arrived in typical Amazon Prime fashion - fast. The probes were packed in a ziplock style pouch which made it easy to open. My initial impression was that plastic was of good quality but the magnets were not that strong. However after trying them on my Rt-700, I felt they were the perfect strength as it held the probes securely to the smoker but not to the point they it made it difficult to detach. I tried a couple of different probes (Rectec, Inkbird, and FireBoard) on the holder and it worked well. Putting on the probes were pretty intuitive the only thing to remember it to cross thread it for the final loop to tuck it in. See video. Overall am pretty happy with these probe holders and would recommend them. Only thing is that since they are plastic make sure you attach them to a part of the grill or smoker that doesn't get too hot.

Perfect solution for those dang probe wires! No more tangles!! Magnets hold perfectly! Would buy em again in a heart beat! Slap on the side of the smoker when in use, magnets hold even @ 275f. Great little option that just works!

Great for keeping things tidy
I’m honestly surprised at how well these temperature probe spools work. As an avid griller and cooking enthusiast, I regularly use temp probes to monitor cooking and food temps. Monitoring temperatures of food and the grill/BBQ/oven, etc. is critical in creating consistent and repeatable foods. While temp probes have become an indispensable part of my cooking process, I’ve struggled to come up with an effective way to store my BBQ thermometers that keeps them well sorted and tidy. Regardless of how well I clean them, the wires inevitably accumulate grease and stain, which ends up getting all over me and anything else they encounter. The wires also get tangled with one another, and they are a pain to separate each time I go to use one. When I saw these probe spools, I was intrigued by the idea but wondered how much of a difference they would really make. I’m pleased to report that these are a must have for anyone who regularly uses temp probes and wants to maintain a clean and tidy cooking environment. These do exactly what you need them to do. They store the wires in a secure way so that each wire and probe remains separate. The probes don’t touch anything else, and they stay tangle free. The probe end portion also tucks neatly into the arm of the spool which helps prevent accidental pokes from those sharp tips. If the spool does become dirty, they’re easy to wipe clean as well. If you’re a cooking enthusiast who values a tidy work space and who’s been looking for a way to store your temp probes, this is the solution you’ve been looking for.

Stops tangles, keeps neat, protects wires
- Having an individual spool for each wire keeps the probes from tangling up with each other. Tangled wires is the biggest hassle because you need three hands to untangle them. - I like that they stack nest together, so that keeps the probes and wires neatly together taking up the least amount of space. - By keeping the wires on a spool, hand-winding them, you get the benefit of straightening and bends in the wires, un-spinning as needed, and have direct control on preventing/protecting from damage. - These replace the blue coozies that I was using. - CON: When stacked together, the jack plug will not stay in the molded eyelet. Instead I tried to tuck them sandwhiched in. - CON: When you stack these, the magnets are not extra-strong. I put an extra rubberband around the stack in case I throw these in a drawer, where they can get knocked/separate apart and then the jack plug ends would spill out. When I stick these on my glossy refrigerator, the stack will slide down the wall a bit unless the rubberband is there to stop the slide. - CON: the wife would prefer black rather than bright orange.

AWESOME to organize and declutter your temperature probes!!
If you are like me and are looking for a way to organize your temperature, probes look no further! These little guys are fantastic and just saved me a ton of space organizing my smoking accessories drawer. Before these probes would be scattered all over the drawer and get tangled up constantly amongst one another. Now this is no longer an issue and they are easily stored with much less space in the drawer. Not only that, they are easy to grab and put right on the smoker because they are magnetic. Just make sure not to put them on a spot that gets extremely hot. overall, I highly recommend them for anyone looking to organize their space effectively.
