The IPad fits via a magnetic connection on the back of the IPad. The IPad fits neatly and is held firmly. The Keyboard needs charging via the supplied USB C connection. The keyboard is backlit showing the keys for typing in low light conditions. It connected right away with the IPad via Bluetooth. It was easy to set up and also includes a trackpad. So far so good it’s a nice product to use to type rather than the IPad on screen keyboard. My only criticism is accessing the numbers/function keys along the top are slightly obscured by the screen but this is only a minor inconvienience.
