No matter how the technology was changed. I still like the traditional stone sharpener which make me to memorize when I was child I watched my grandfather was making his knife on the sharpening stone. This is great price for a sharpening stone and work very well. Love it.

Package was well packed. Good quality stone. I used this stone to remove material of knives fast to save time, then used finer grit 1000/3000 and 3000/8000 stones to make razor sharp. This stone will make your knife sharp quickly, but if you want razor sharp, you will need finer grit stone.

This stone is a coarse/medium grit and I use it before a fine/ultrafine grit stone. Saves me more than 30 minutes when I'm touching up all my knives in the kitchen. Perfect for bringing an edge back on my EDC quickly. If you aren't looking for razor sharp edge, this is perfect. I'd recommend pairing this with another stone with finer grit to get that razor sharp edge, but otherwise it's fantastic.

Good stone for the price hard to beat it. Works well

Not flat on either side. I was able to flatten using sandpaper on a granite countertop. There is a small hole on one side filled with epoxy, not sure how this will affect its use, but I will need to avoid that area as the epoxy is more rigid than the 400 grit.The size of this stone is as specified, but slightly larger than similar looking models that fit into a bamboo base with the rubber pad. It will fit without the rubber pad

Doesn't sharpen with precise precision but it is it does sharpen a little

I left my stone in the water for 5 mns it was ruined

The heavier grit size (400) was a little soft. I recommend a push stroke and no pressure on pull strokes. That's not the seller's fault, however, that's the company who makes all these for amazon who's to blame. The seller also sends additional instructions on the use of sharpening stones to you via the amazon message center which is really nice of them.
