So we charged these up, a full day of sun, put them (we got a set of four) in a few different places--a flower bed, beside the driveway, by a gravel walkway and one in a vegetable garden patch--and turned them on (there's a little switch on the back side of the charging panel box). One thing I didn't know at first was that each shaft is flexible and you can actually position them into almost any shape you want--this is really, really cool to me, because it lets you have some creative fun with them. The lights are actually brighter than expected and sure enough, they do move in the wind--we happened to have a very windy day and evening after putting these out and it was cool watching the lights bob and weave. Something unexpectedly hilarious happened with the one in the flower bed--when the lights came on (automatically, another great feature) and the wind started tossing them around, two of our outdoor cats started playing with them, batting and pawing at the lights as they swayed, which, of course, only caused the lights to move even more. We sat and watched for probably half an hour while the cats played with them, laughing each time a cat got in a good swipe. We are definitely getting more of these, they are simply wonderful and worth it.

When they work … they are great. I haven’t cracked the code… possibly the daytime weather.

Item arrived timely and as described. They are beautiful little globes of light, solar charged and easy to install. They can be placed into planters, along pathways, or in your small garden of hostas and flowers for a beautiful little accent of light. The stems move in the wind and can be adjusted for the way you want to display them. Comes with a generous amount of four different sets. As an added bonus, the lights can stay on or they can be set to flicker which makes them a versatile Summer or Winter use product as you could place them out for Christmas or other holidays!

Love these lights. They are whimsical waving in the wind. Have 14 in my yard. They are are a little stiff when first put up but will separate in a few days.
