These are a good wide mesh on both sides except for the front center piece and have cut-outs on the side which makes these great for heat where you want to protect your thighs still. Second star taken off as their sizing is the most inaccurate I've ever seen even for chinese designed clothing. The tagged sizes they list don't match the amazon sizes either. Pictures here is of the amazon listed XX-Large and the dense thick elastic band is around a 36 inch waist unstretched.
