Grundig CDP 6600 Portable CD Player

After reading reviews on other brand cd players I decided to buy the more expensive Grundig player.I am very happy with my choice. Easy to use, good sound, seems robust enough, just what I wanted.Would recommend to all

Bought this for my mum, who has had a stroke. Wanted something that was going to be very easy to use. It's almost there. Not perfect but OK. Does have very good sound quality

I have had to return this item as firstly the mains adaptor did not work and I had to use batteries. secondly the volume was very faint and needed many clicks on the volume button to increase the volume. As the player was purchased to play audio books due to sight problems I needed the bookmark facility. After inserting a second book it played for about 15 minutes then stopped despite new batteries. Having confirmed that it was not a fault on the disc I had to return the appliance and have not yet had a replacement.

I was very disappointed with the performance of this CD player. Neither myself nor other members of my family could properly hear the quieter passages of the music even at full volume using the head set provide or other head sts. It was just as badon battery or connected via its transformer to the mains.

Poor tracking and controls became unreliable in 10 months, so had to return

great little machine. Good sound quality and easy to use.

My wife is severely visually impaired, so these are great for listening to books. They bounce quite well when sliding off a chair or bed. Battery usage is quite heavy but manageable with rechargeables. It would help if the buttons were a bit more distinguishable.
