Thank you** A: No. The PD40R V3.0 is not compatible with non-rechargeable batteries. **Q: What battery replacement does this take?** A: Fenix ARB-L21-5000 V2.0 **Q: What are the chances of this model accidentally turning on while in my pocket?** A: Almost zero possibility of accidental activation. **Q: No tungsten carbide tips,2nd tail switch, and hidden usb port. Always something missing. When is this perfect flashlight ever going to be built ?** A: It is a very powerful flashlight--good amount of lumens, however, I am truly disappointed that FENIX did not add a back tail switch. Had I known this, I would have put the purchase off. Hidden USB port--not really so hidden, but could have placed it in another area. Tail switch is my biggest gripe--close to perfect if it had it.
