The seat weighs more than I imagined it would but not so much that it’s cumbersome. Only took a couple minutes to get the hang of opening and collapsing it. I’ve sat on it a few times to test it and seems reliable and sturdy. My only gripe is that I wasn’t sent the seat as pictured in the listing (deducting point for that). The listing was for a solid black but I received it as black outer ring with smaller red circle. I can see how the confusion of shipping the correct color occurred since the product box has two completely different colors (red outer ring with black circle and a rainbow version). Since this seat was the lowest priced of its kind ($20) and it functions I’ll keep it.

I saw someone else at the courts with this chair and I had to buy one. It’s compact enough to fit in my backpack so it’s perfect. I also like that when other sweaty people sit on it, I can easily disinfect it with a wipe. Since I bought it there have been several other people who have copied me. There’s a few of us in the courts with this seat. If I ever buy another one, I would buy the cushion with it though. It can be uncomfortable if you’re sitting for a longer period of time.

Make sure to check the height of these stools as when fully extended, they're still a little low for average height peeps. They'll do the job, especially considering how compact they retract and how relatively sturdy they are. Direct vertical force applied to the stools is fine, feels sturdy and can take a heavy load. Lateral movements are not so good. Even lifting the stool with one hand to move it to another spot feels like a bad idea, too much flex and spring sounds. We end up just using both hands to lift them up or simply sliding them on the floor if it allows that. We've had a lot of foldable/compact chairs and this one takes the cake with how small and light it is. Awesome.
