I'm not a bot - see my other reviews! Purchased, not a freebee review. For the price I thought this was a good product. The video worked better than the photos for some reason, so when I needed a still I just paused the playback and took a screen shot. I used this in a pool plumbing system to see if any of our feed lines were ruptured. I found the cable was stiff enough to easily get it 4-6 feet into the horizontal tubes, which is as far as I needed to go. I doubt you'd get it 16' in but if was totally flat with nothing else in the way. Certainly if was used in vertical situation, like a well, would be no problem. Really no setup to speak of. Download the app, plug in the camera and it then operates just like your phone camera - select picture or video and hit start.

This little endoscope works surprisingly well for the price, and was just what I needed to check the insulation (or lack of it) behind the drywall in my garage. I have found several other uses since I originally bought it for that purpose. The image quality is very good if you have plenty of light. If the light is poor you can use the built-in LEDs and the resulting image is decent. The set up is quite simple using your smart phone, and there are several attachments that make it a very cost-effective device.

So, this works. Your get a good enough image. The end camera works as a usb camera, and works with any software. To use the side camera you need their app. But it is a simple, lightweight app. No complaints there. My only complaint is the image could be better, but for diagnosing problems it is good.

It was finally time to write up a review of this borescope. I had originally rated it a 3 star but now that I've actually used it a bunch I have to give it a 5 star rating. You have to download an app that is okish but it works. I had a kitchen sink faucet that the spray attachment quit working. I had just replaced the primary cartridge and the diverter valve doohicky. Worked fine for a week then nothing but weak spray from the spray attachment. What the heck? I took the faucet apart again and removed the doohickey, it looked just fine. Figured maybe it was in the wrong way but it only can go one way. Cleaned it all up, reassembled and tested...NOOOO not working. Took it completely apart and didn't see anything wrong. All the o-rings were there and lubed up properly. Problem was I couldn't see the hole where the diverter valve went as it was on the back side and only about 5 inches of clearance. Here's where the endoscope camera came into play. Plugged it into my iphone and opened the app. Switched to the side camera and found the hole where the valve went. Bam there it was, a chunk of old o-ring wedged in the port blocking the output. I would have had to completely remove the faucet to ever see that. Using the borescope and a bent up paperclip I was able to un-lodge the chunk of trouble and fix my problem. Was it worth the money? Heck ya! So overall this endoscope is pretty flexible but the cable is actually stiff and bendy. I think it has a metal sleve around it allowing you to bend into the shape you need. So far for the three things I used it for it has held up fine. Has a dimmable light for both the cameras which really come in handy. Overall I find this A+

I bought this endoscope to help locate rattling pipes inside my ceiling. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite deliver for that specific job. Ease of Setup - On the plus side, connecting to my iPhone was quick and simple. The app paired right away, and I really appreciate that it doesn’t require a subscription or account login (a refreshing change from many devices these days). Performance in Dark Areas - Even with the LED brightness turned all the way up, I wasn’t able to see clearly in the dark ceiling space. The light just wasn’t strong enough to illuminate what I needed, and the picture quality, while okay, wasn’t as sharp as I expected. Other Uses - That said, I can see this being much more useful for other tasks — like checking tight spots in a car engine or dash where there’s at least some light. It feels like a tool that’s good to keep in the toolbox, even if it didn’t solve my original problem. Verdict - This is an easy-to-use, budget-friendly tool that works fine in certain scenarios, but if you need to see into very dark spaces, it may not be reliable enough.

Excellent product with a free app to set up on you phone to photo or video under tight places to see what you can't see until you open or move something; even to clean check in tight places. I'm using it because I can't get down to look under my bed for lost shoes and yes even trash, etc.

Why do we shop on Amazon? It is convenient, and when you buy a piece of junk, you can send it right back for no charge. This thing should be in the Amazon junk Hall of Fame. It's like a joke. The resolution is like something from the dawn of photography. Daguerreotypes have higher resolution. Oh, and you have to download an app! An app that tells you nothing. I tried it in several situations, but it is just ... useless. No instructions, and there was this little plastic tube with some little metal ... I think some kind of attachments. No explanation of what they were, much less what they were for, or how to use them. AND the kicker was these tiny little metal things had to be put back in the plastic tube just so, or you could not close it. It was a little test or something a guess. So, my top 5 worst things I have ever purchased on Amazon just got a new item, and one got bumped. D O N O T BUY THIS.
