The media could not be loaded.  By no means am I an expert at reviewing printers, but I still want to give my un-expert opinion…. The canon SELPHY 1500 printer is amazing. The picture quality was above and beyond my expectations; I am now obsessed with canon printers. The only con with this is printer is the fact that canon does NOT include the NB-CP2LH battery. The battery cost 95-100 usd (with tax), but it’s well worth it if you’re a street photographer and want to print immediately to give your subject something to be impressed with and smile about. The battery takes 4hrs for a full charge and you can print 50 photos with one charge. As a professional photographer I do a lot of street photography in NYC. I plan on buying a second one for my business. I highly recommend the printer and the battery so that the printer can be portable.To be able to print, you have to download the canon SELPHY app for whichever platform you’re on (Apple/android) and then give the app permission to access your photos. The printer then connects with the app via Bluetooth and prints your selection of photos. It seems to work okay. I just tried it once.The problem is the instruction manual is very poor in explaining how to operate it. I had to mess with it for an hour till I finally figured out how to get it to work.

I bought this printer for travel to quickly share prints with family and friends. When you have a quality printed photo's in hand it's fun, easily accessible and a little more difficult to place in photo purgatory. I also purchased for an additional $25 a case to store this printer. It's not the easiest printer to set up but once it's done it prints quality photos quickly and drys super fast. Using my iPhone, I was able to print directly to the printer. I also used canon's selphy app, which was simple and easy to use.

I used the canon selphy cp1500 to print out school pictures and I thought it would be simple to do some live printing. However when I inserted my sd card into the printer it said it had no images. It occurred to me that like most professionals I shoot in camera RAW. That creates a file that’s not compatible with the printer. So make sure your settings are set to RAW + L quality image. That way you get a raw file and jpeg. You’re probably going to need 32 gb sd care to store all that info.

The Printer is exactly as advertised. This one replaces my old Selphy Printer that no longer works. A bonus is that all the photo paper and cartridges I have left work in this new printer. I am delighted!!!!

For the money this printer really puts out a great product. The prints are high quality and it is nice to send them wirelessly from the phone - not middleman. Be sure to buy the rechargeable battery as it doesn’t come with
