Heater Knob for select Honda Accord models

My old one broke off, found this it was a perfect fit. Works great

This knob fit perfectly for my 1996 Honda Accord LX. And the part number on the shipped packaging; #79581-SV1-A11, is a Honda factory part number for this replacement knob. I noticed some other users had issues with this knob not sliding all the way in place on the switch shaft. This is because the old broken knob that you remove usually leaves a metal collar around the shaft of the fan switch or temperature controller switch. This metal collar has broken away from the center of the plastic knob you are replacing. Remove this metal collar from the switch shaft by prying it off, before you install the new knob into the shaft of the switch. Be careful not to damage the shaft when removing the metal collar. If you look closely at the new knob you just purchased, you will see the metal collar inside the center of the knob. If you do not remove the old metal collar from the switch shaft, the new knob will not fit all the way down.

Heater knob broke on my wife's car. Getting cold outside so this needed to be taken care of sooner than later. Thought about going to AutoZone and saw the price they wanted and was like, really...I went to some auto parts websites and the prices were reasonable enough but they charged more for shipping than for the knob itself!So I came to good old trusty Amazon.com. Sure enough they had the knob I needed for only 5.95. I'm a prime member so free shipping - yah.Got the knob the very next day. Are you kidding me. I wasn't expecting it for at least 3 days.Knob fit. Heat back.

fit my 96 honda accord lx just fine

It's a knob, as long as it fits it works lol. Fast shipment good value for the money.

Pros:This knob fits perfectly on the temperature and fan contols in my '96 Honda Accord EX. No forcing necessary.It looks very similar to the factory knob.It's very cheap.Cons:The "window" for the control backlight will not let the light bleed through as on the factory knob. I couldn't care less, but somebody might want to be able to see their knob.Other:It's cheap, it works, buy it if you so need need a new knob.There are two versions of this knob. Make sure the one you buy is designed for your year/model Accord.

This knob is a just a tad smaller in diameter than the original, but it fits well. Were it connects to the control rod it fits perfectly and you really can't tell that it's smaller, unless you are really looking hard and comparing the knob next to it, so if it really matters to you, just order two and nobody would know the difference.
