They need to be screwed into the body on one side of the RO Filter body so that inside piping from various elements come out through them and outside connection is also easy. With the elbows supplied, they are of no use. Similarly other pipe fittings and none of them are designed to fit to the body of the filter. Bad design and they don't suit to many makes of Filters
