Great for sourdough starter
Hands down one of my best purchases for sourdough. I use it all the time and the smooth sides with no lip at the top make it easy to pour out sourdough starter and to clean. I would buy the same one if something were to happen to it.

Fit more dough than smaller one
I had a small glass jar for my sourdough starter so i decides to get a bigger one and this one is just right. Very sturdy. Easy to use. You Can ser inside so you know if your started is rising. Good size if you want to make more sourdough. Not heavy so easy to handle it. You’ll be on your way to sourdough pro .

Revise las reseñas y vi que había algunas de 1 sola estrella por defectos, en mi caso no es asi, el tarro esta muy bueno, tenia otro mas pequeño para hacer las masa madre, compre este que esta perfecto. Es robusto. Fácil de usar. Puedes verlo en el interior para saber si tu nivel de arranque está aumentando. Buen tamaño si quieres hacer más masa madre. No es pesado, por lo que es fácil de manejar. Es el Kit perfecto. Lo recomiendo. Mi esposa lo usa como medidor tambien.

Check the bottom before you decide to keep it. BEWARE your starter may be at risk.
I liked the jar and used it a bit but then I saw others leaving 1 star reviews because they were breaking. I noticed today there is an area in the bottom with tiny air bubbles likely from removing it from whatever is used to make them. Now I know I can only use it at room temperature because a thermal shock will make the flawed area break and create a hole like the others. You can see the warp in the glass too. So disappointed. MAKE SURE TO CHECK THE BOTTOM FOR AN AREA ABOUT 1-2CM WITH A CLUSTER OF TINY AIR BUBBLES. Send it back if you see them, don't lose your starter.

Nice sourdough kit
Got this to give a starter to a friend. Super nice kit. Has all the materials to be an expert in sourdough. Good value for the price!

The best sourdough jar
I have tried so many jars for my sourdough, but this one is big enough. Just right, it washes well, just with hot water and it is ready to use again. Even the spatula that comes with it is of excellent quality. It scraps the sides and cleans the sourdough so you can see how much the sourdough has risen. I am even thinking of buying another one to have two for my sourdough.

Save yourself the heartache. I bought this container 9 months ago and today when I fed my starter, a piece of glass broke out of the bottom in shards. My starter is now garbage and I have to start another one, which we all know takes months to become strong.
