Mine did not work
Maybe the luck of the draw. The official Dimplex transducer included with the fire died after 15 months. We replaced it with a non-brand one, which lasted 6 months and cost £45. This new one at about £6 would have been great value - but didn't work at all and is a little smaller than the original, but that shouldn't stop it from working. Optimyst fire now put in a different room, producing heat and light but no mist, and previous fire put back in lounge. Interesting to see that new Optimyst fires sometimes come with 2 spare transducers. Other have said this unit worked for them, so maybe just unlucky. I wouldn't buy another optimyst, far cheaper fires available with good effects (but not smoke) and with less maintenance.
