Perfect replacement
My original key for my Tiguan broke, so purchased this key body. Great quality and just had to swap the metal key part. Saved me over £40 from a well known key cutting company.

Good quality, great price.
Worked almost perfectly for my 2014 transporter key. Feels good quality and worked well to fix a broken key case.Tips:- Save the metal pins from the original - a new one is not supplied- I reused the original blade (rather than cutting a new one). Had to punch out/replace a pin to do this.- VW original keyblade base is a little thicker, had to be lightly filed down.

Got it to work and saved some money
It’s ok… and I managed to get it working.A few annoying points:1) The key blade section was a different to the original, I had to file the original blade down in both depth and length to make it fit.2) this key comes pre-assembled, meaning you have to disassemble it. Most replacement keys come disassembled so you just put the parts in and click it all together.3) The buttons are very sticky. The Lock and Boot button work ok but there’s no click response on the unlock button but it functions as expected.Overall, can’t complain at spending £6.99 for a replacement key and saving around £80 from getting a new one cut somewhere.

Good replacement, just check it's exactly the same as your existing key
It's a good replacement key and case if your existing case is a bit beat up and you just need a new looking one.I have a 2011 Seat Leon and this key is a perfect replacement. You need to break the old key apart, the video does not show this accurately. There's a tiny pin where the key sits which joins the top and bottom part of the case together, and can't be pulled out, the case has to be forced apart which breaks the case. There are many youtube videos that show this much better than the video on the selling page. If you look at the video at about 51 seconds you can just see the place where the key fits, and there's a small hole. That's where the pin should be. As it isn't there it appears much easier to get the case apart. I think it's a bit misleading and I've docked a star for that.Make sure your old key is the same orientation as the new case.I transplanted the electronics and old cut key into the new case, it's a struggle to get both old and new cases apart, I was being careful not to snap anything, but in the end I was going at it with pliers and screwdriver, and giving it some welly.Make sure you try all the buttons afterwards to check it all works and the key is tensioned properly to ping out when you press the button BEFORE you put the tiny little pin in. You can't get it out again without breaking the case... You have been warned!

Double check it is EXACTLY for your vehicle to avoid any disappointment
This replacement key (blank) with remote shell looks and feels identicle to a standard VW Polo remote, so much so that I forgot to check that the blank was correctly oriented for my vehicle so be warned.Yes there is a subtle difference in the actual key/blank aspect which may mean the key/fob is not correct for your vehicle. As the description states it is for Mk6 Vw's but as I have a 2016 VW Polo Gti I thought it may be okay as it looked identicle...it is not.The blade/blank is rotated 90 degrees, for a start, and has a slightly different profile along its thinnest sides. The remainder of the remote/body appears identicle.Things to note:If you want to get a dublicate key then these types of keys need to be laser cut rather than the conventional mini "disc cutting" setup found at general key cutters / cobblers. This is primarily as the "profile" is not on the blade edge, but within the blade itself (security / anti dublicating feature)They can be cut via a "dublicator" or from a Key Code (~8 digits). The Key Code may be found on the vehicle somewhere (hidden on a single lock barrel) or is provided by the Dealership on first (new) purchase on a small Tag (only) with the supplied keysIf the tag has gone missing things can get complicated, or more costly.Other than that the fob looks and feels as it should do.The internals are empty allowing for the electronics, and hence security features, to be easily swapped over from a damaged working remote. Even the key can be easily swapped over as it is only secured via a small pin held under tension (should take about 30 seconds to remove with a suitable tool ie a small cylindrical piece of metal)So if you have a Mk6 Vw this is a good replacement spare, but double check it is exactly for your vehicle to avoid any disappointment. Use the multiple images provided by the supplier and make sure EVERY aspect is identicle especially the blank orientation/profile.
