Great product with a great quality pieces

Bought to replace a 20 year old Black and Decker drill set which finally fell apart with one of the opening plastic wings giving up the ghost last week. Many of the drills had bitten the dust over the years and the remaining ones worked by pure friction rather than a sharp cutting edge.So the eternal hunt for a value replacement and the world turns to Amazon. Normally it would be a trip to B&Q but that casual option is out of the window at present. This Makita set was up against Bosch and De Walt, you are invariably overwhelmed by choice. Having a garage full of “stuff” means that I needed something that didn’t span too many options. I can do without having 50 different PZ2 screw bits...This item gives a great range of wooden and steel drill bits with just enough masonry drills to add to my larger collection of heavyweight drills. The screw driver bits are good quality and varied and the torx heads give added usability.Well made, well packaged and good value - what’s not to like.

Makita provide excellent, well made products.These drill bits are no different. The case hold them all very well without the worry of them falling out. Sometimes too well, some bits were a little difficult to come out, but managed it eventually.Set will provide all the bits you need to the casual DIY-er

I inherited a Makita drill but my Bosch drill bits were not cutting it… literally. They were pretty useless actually for my powerful impact drill. They either hardly made a dent in my walls or snapped when I put too much pressure on the drill. Now I’m an enthusiastic amateur when it comes to the DIY business, but I’m learning fast. These drill bits are on another level and they go through wood, walls and just about any surface like butter. Despite taking a bit of a battering over the last few weeks the drill bits are still sharp and show little signs of wear. No doubt I’ll never get through this entire box of drill bit delights but I’m certainly going to try.
