Chicane - Sun:Sets 2018

Ok I am a huge Chicane fan but seriously what am I to make of this -1. The name implies this is a SET, a mixed CD. It is not, it is a group of separate tracks that seen to have very little in common2. The name implies that you could listen to this watching a sunset, again wrong this is not a chill out CD3. 2018? really I have read the back of the CD and could not spot any tracks made in 2018.It is packaged in a very old fashioned way like an old dance CD with no personal feeling or message from the DJ. I have listened to a few bits of the Alan Partridge like radio show that this is based on and that explains a lot. Chicane is a fantastic artist but when you compare productslike this to Anjunadeep 08 or 09 it comes up sadly lacking. I have only listened to CD1 so far lets hope CD2 gets better but I don't hold out much hopeUpdate - I have now listened to CD 2. Sorry but its more of the same but will a few light drum and base type tracks at the end. Perfect for a sunset (not). Stand out track is by the amazing, fantastic and subtle Kiasmos tune. I am sure that the up and coming Chicane artist CD will be much better than these CDs

Having listened to most of the first cd only as just received, it is really good, there is a variation which some of the previous have lacked, it is good to just listen and get into the moment with, husband impressed too, well it was actually for him!

Great album some really good new stuff, if you like the other albums your going to like this, just need something to produce those base lines, get a sub ! ENJOY

If your into ambient trance then a must by. Totally awesome....chicane at his best. Can listen to it at whilst driving, whilst chilled on the sofa or even going to sleep. Just wished they made more Albums like this
