I've used the plain white and lavender bedding in the past, so thought I would try the rose bedding. Both the lavender and rose have a faint smell, it's not too strong for the animal. But does cover the mild smell a hammie has, and also masks when the girls go into heat. The flowers are also a salad for the babies; so Bertie and Rosina approve. Compared to other beddings it has far less dust and miscellaneous bits, so I can put it straight into the cage without inspecting each piece. It also adds a nice pop of colour without overdoing it. It's compress so make sure to fluff it up with your hands, and it will double in size. As it's half white; soiled sections are easy to spot and remove. Even when wet from their water bowl, the colour doesn't run much, so the white and coloured sections stay distinct.

The little scamps love this bedding, ideal for gerbils.

I love this bedding, it livened up my hamsters enclosure, added soft texture and is really good for money. It looks absolutely adorable in the cage, is a decent amount for filling up at least 6 inches of a pawhut 120cm cage. Absolutely love, would buy again.

My guinea pigs have this on top of pads and under hay. They love foraging for the rose petals and it keeps things smelling fresh! There has little dust. However, with it be expensive go easy and use on top of paper pellets and puppy pads. Or fleece/bamboo liner. You can scrape it away when soiled and carry on the clean.

I brought this for my dwarf hamster it is lovely and comfortable for her and it looks cute. It is expensive but it does last a long time and it’s worth it in my opinion as I’m only changing a part of the bedding each clean out.

Lavender is one of my favorite scents, so I knew this was immediately going to be a hit for me. When I actually used it on both my chinchilla and guinea pigs cages, it covered up their waste scents, and did an impeccable quality job on soaking up all their waste as well. It's pet friendly and they seemed to be more calm. It was easy to take out of the bag and put in their cages. When some of them accidentally ate the paper with their food, it was safe and caused zero harm. I will absolutely love to buy this again in the future because it was worth every penny I spent.

We got the rose bedding & there are real roses in it as described. It smells amazing, not overpowering. It is a little pricey but our little guy is worth it. Love it.

Lavender is one of my top three favorite scents, so of course I chose this one when making my purchase, however it is a bit overwhelming even for me, and especially too much for putting in my rats cage as a bedding staple. But I found that if I used it as an accent to their plain white, unscented variety then it helped to make things smell nice, and look so pretty with the bits of purple pieces, but not irritate my rats sensitive senses. The bedding itself has a nice absorbency, which I quickly learned when I overturned a water bowl onto it when I was putting it in the cage. It fluffs to a HUGE amount when taken out of the compressed bag. You don't need much to fill the bottom of their cage with a fluffy foraging base, (and as I mentioned above, I mixed mine with mostly unscented white bedding, then added a hefty handful of this lavender scented bedding.) Great value for the money, one highly condensed bag of this bedding will last my rattos for a very long time, even with weekly clean ups and top-off and monthly deep cleaning and replacement. I would buy it again, and actually I have bought more of Small Pet Select brand of beddings since buying this lavender one.
