Super easy to use. I bought a starter to use with it. Keeps everything nice and clean. My last jar was so messy. Came with cute chalkboard labels to name my starter as well. Nice accessories.

I really like this jar and the spatula was a nice addition. The cloth covers are super difficult to get on though. It took two of us to slip it on the jar. Sadly the jar was too big to use in my Goldilocks warmer so it got switched over to a discard container that I keep in the fridge. The size is great because it is holding a lot of discard. I very much like the wooden lid that goes on it. I ended up using the cloth covers on my starter jar, they fit mason jars much better. They need to be a little bigger to work well on this jar. Maybe they stretch over time? The glass is a bit thin and doesn't feel as sturdy as pyrex, but it is a nice jar and I am glad I bought it.

I purchased this recently because my old ceramic crock was cracked and ready for the trash. Pros: I love the size of this crock-it easily will hold my starter, even when tripled. I love that this is made of glass, so I can eye it easily. I love that it has measurements on it so I can accurately see when my starter has doubled or tripled. Con: only 1- the top should be made of something more durable. This wood based cap will not outlive the glass container. It might crack well before then!

Update: the seller contacted me and apologized for the issue and sent me a new crock which does not appear to have the same lid issue. The starter I want to use it for actually doesn't call for using the bamboo lid (just the cloth "lids"), so I expect this will work just fine for what I want. Many thanks to the seller for their super quick response to resolving this issue.--------------------Even before washing the jar, I put the lid (it came with) on. Stunned to find I then couldn't get the lid off! While trying to get the lid off the glass broke ... thankfully no one got hurt. Unfortunately I took too long to try as it appears I can no longer return :-( Very sad.

I haven't used this jar for starter yet. The glass is thinner than I expected and I just think it's going to break at the slightest tap.But I am in LOVE with the spatula. It's the perfect size and texture to scrape down the starter in my jars when I feed them.And that white thing is a pen to write on the chalkboard stickers... took me a while to figure that out.

Glass is very thin. I’ve had this for 6 months and simply placing the glass in to the sink to hand wash will cause breaks in the glass (as shown). I’ve been very gentle and only hand washed this container. Very disappointed in the quality and would not recommend.Update: they did give me a full refund even though the return window had closed and they informed me that they’ve since updated their product to make the glass thicker. I will update my review if they send another thicker product. Company seems to have integrity

The shape of this jar makes it very easy to feed my starter. It is also really easy to clean and comes with great measurement stickers too!I’ve used the spatula it comes with often.

I like that I can see the sourdough starter through the glass. I wish it was a bit bigger but it works well.
