Does not turn off even without water flow.
I have not been able to do the water quality test (bacteria) yet. The rating is because I do not see a way to adjust the "turn on" sensitivity depending the water flow. It happens that it remains On for a long period of time without water flow (water flow controlled by solenoid valve, without water leaks.). I realized the water came out hot, since the lamp does not turn off (The green power status LED remains On.) leaving the remaining water inside heating up. It is random, since sometimes it turns off correctly and on many other occasions it does not.

Who knows? = Not impressed!
Pros; Easy to install, well packaged. Cons; Mine didn't work when hooked up and water started flowing, it was supposed to turn on in an instant (0.2 seconds), but after a minute nothing happened. Even if it did show what they tell me is a green glowing light at the outlet end, there is really no way to know if it is doing anything. It could be an empty stainless steel cylinder and you would never know. UV purifiers that use a mercury lamp are proven to work and destroy bacteria, viruses, etc., they allow you to see and verify that the UV light is on. Working in the UV purification industry for 16 years my personal opinion is that these LED UV purifiers have not yet been proven and I have seen no certifications from any water quality organizations, that I can find, for this LED UV purifier. Since it didn't seem to want to even turn on with the water flow and no way to know if actually would sanitize the water, I sent it back for a refund.

Does what it says.
Pretty decent UV-C water filter. Turns on instantly at the flow of water, faster than 2 seconds, I think the product data meant to say 0.2 second reaction time. They always get the data wrong for some reason. Has a pretty green colored light to show it's working, very visible under a sink or low light conditions. Makes a noticeable difference in flavor. I may be wrong, but I think its more effective to UV attack the bacteria before the actual filters, that way even the filtered bacteria is disabled. You also get a couple different 6 inch size hoses and two push in to seal adapters to install, but fits most normal size filter system hoses and seals nicely, no leaks. It's not very heavy so I didn't bother with the mounting hardware clamps. Dangles out of the way just fine. I noticed I don't have to clean my humidifier as often using water from this filter, less build up of muck at the bottom. The cord is a bit short, should be a good 5 feet longer for those of us who don't have electrical outlets under there sink area. I'll have to add an extension cable and drill a small hole thru my counter or side of my cabinets to reach an outlet. Draws about 9 watts when I use off a 300 watt power inverter bank. I purchased when it had a substantial % drop in price. I plan on getting two more when that reduction returns. Well worth it and a replacement if it lasts at least two years or 50,000 hours (5 years) as they posted. I would highly recommend this UV filter for those on a budget and not looking at spending 300$ for dead bacteria. I'm hearing now there is a study that claims water also contains good bacteria for our bodies too, that may also be neutralized by a UV-C filter 100-280 Nanometer frequency, but it is still safer to eliminate the rest of the harmful thriving bacteria that is not affected by natural sunlight, as UV-C light cannot pass thru our atmosphere.

UV Review updated
2/5 Update:Moved to 5 stars. The seller reached out to me and had a replacement unit sent out right away. The replacement works like a charm and feels like it's high quality. There is a green light on the OUT side to let you know when it's working, which is great. This is a great option with good features. LED for long life and lower energy consumption, compact size, solid construction and I love how it only turns on when it detects a flow of water.I'm very pleased overall with the product and how quickly the seller resolved my first defective unit! There was a coupon which made this purchase price a great value compared to similar other options, however I believe the unit I received is defective.Once installed, there's supposed to be a light to show it's working but I can't find it and nothing lights up.Also, my unit leaks at the "out" end of the unit which was very messy and frustrating.Water flow seems restricted a bit, but nothing too impactful. The leak is unacceptable and the instructions/support were poor. The instruction booklet says "please contact us at." That's all, no # or email so I don't know how to contact the manufacturer for a warranty replacement.A status light is mentioned in the booklet but I don't think the is one. No way to verify if the unit is working or not.I am also a bit confused/concerned by the "hazardous substance declaration", see photo.

Poorly constructed with issues.
Seems like very poor construction with almost certain leak potential. No LED indicator to show the device is working and/or the LEDs are active. This is a big flaw, as you can never tell if the device is actually working or broken - and for drinking water this isn't acceptable. The device also runs off 24v DC - which isn't the normal voltage for marine or RV electrical systems. Just too much not-thought-through by this manufacturer. (Mine also arrived with a missing part on the outlet - so had to go back anyway.)
