Not Fallen Off Mid-Drive – Unlike Me Last One
Picked this up power lead after my old dash cam lead gave up on us – the metal bit from the cigarette plug literally dropped off mid-journey like it couldn’t be bothered anymore. This new one’s been spot on so far. Feels sturdier, fits properly, and powers the dash cam without any issues. No loose connections or faffing about, just does what it’s meant to – which is all I wanted really. Happy with it, especially after the last one fell to bits. Sometimes it’s the small reliable things that make all the difference when you’re out on the road.

Handy extra.
I liked this car jack plug because it had a USB point for charging another item such as a phone. It keeps my dash cam on when the ignition is on. A well made handy item.

Well packaged. Works well, was a replacement. Cable thicker than previous one so difficult to put in car trimmings to hid away. Cable length good.

This saved me a lot of money..
My Nextbase 512GW had been switching off, then on again, then off for long periods, then back on…..really annoying ! I was going to buy a new dashcam, but thought I would try a replacement lead/adapter first. Bingo……works brilliantly, and haven’t had any issues with the Nextbase, for weeks now. Highly recommend anyone suffering the same issues with their Nextbase, to try a replacement power lead, before throwing it in the bin.

Did it 'kill' my dash cam?
Got this cable to replace an original one that had given up the ghost. Its right angle cable design means it doesn't get in the road when changing gear or reaching for the handbrake which is far better than the original was. Plugged it in and everything worked fine for a week or two. It wasn't until I plugged my phone into the top, that my dash cam appeared to stop working although the USB charging was still okay. I returned the cable and got a replacement no problem so top marks in that respect. I hooked up the camera to a USB cable to find it is indeed defunct. Of course, as the cable output voltage is stated as correct the for the camera, there's no way I can say if the dashcam gave up the ghost due to age or was related to the cable. Probably just coincidence.
