Making Decorative Boxes Hardcover – January 1, 2002

I love this book. Although all the boxes aren't made from scratch, there are templates for some boxes you can make if you want to. There are also templates for the decorative designs, and there are some great ideas to use as a springboard to come up with your own designs.

This box is not about making decorative boxes. It is about decorating boxes. There were only a couple of boxes to make. Most of the material dealt with decorating boxes that already exsist. I was disappointed.

The title is misleading. The majority of this book is about decorating boxes, not making boxes. It does have some templates (very few) to make some paper boxes, which can be fun. However, there are some good ideas for decorating boxes, but a lot of them are somewhat expensive such as gold leaf, mahogany wood veneer and silk. I wouldn't purchase it again, and I wouldn't recommend it.
