Compostable organic cling film - 1 roll

I ordered this product twice as per the raising concern about the amount of waste/plastic is produced unnecessarily in every households. The item is as described in other reviews, not as sticky as ordinary cling film and a bit hard to get it off the roll. Still, I would have been happy to make this sacrifice however I am not convinced that I achieved my initial goal by using this cling product. First time a single roll of cling film was delivered in an enormous box full with paper to protect the item, second time in a big bubble lined envelope which just produced as much plastic waste as a roll of ordinary cling film would have produced. I do not see the point now for paying ten times more for a product which has poorer quality and still producing just as much waste as a roll of cling film from my local groceries.

Perfectly fine for my needs. It IS more difficult to tear as others have said, but I just use scissors. It wraps food well, and thats all I need it to do. Feels so much better to be using a more environmentally friendly product 🙂

Not perfect, though. I have to agree with what others have said. It is more than a bit difficult to tear off the roll. I also found that, when using it in the microwave, you need to roll back a corner instead of puncturing it. I found this to my surprise after having done it the usual way, with punctures, only to find that I had to spend a great deal of time trying to peel it all off the dish. So do read the instructions. Other than that, it clings well and is a step in the right direction in the anti-plastic campaign.

I want to avoid plastics - so I don't mind the little extra effort entailed with this product, which to be honest is just a pair of scissors to cut it, otherwise no problem - however I can see that many people don't want that inconvenience, so I also have regular cling at home for Husbands and anyone else likely to use it -

I was keen to try compostable cling wrap as I am concerned about the amount of plastic being used and was nearly put off this by the bad reviews but decided to give it a try. Well it is a bit more difficult it tear than ordinary cling wrap but not too difficult, you just need to take a bit more care and it is well worth it if it cuts down the amount of plastic floating around.

Doesn’t come off the roll evenly. Sadly hasn’t got the same sticking power as cling film. Whilst I understand having an eco-friendly product will come with some compromises. The fact it does roll evenly off the roll has meant a lot of wastage for me and frustration. I doubt I’d buy this again sadly.

Does not cling. Useful only to wrap loosely .

I was nearly put off by the only review of the film, but this cling film works perfectly well. The only issue is that I have found is that the box doesn't tear the film easily so I have used scissors.
