Cool idea but terribly executed
I initially bought 2 different hydro set ups to use for lettuce and herbs in my kitchen. I was excited most about this one and even gifted one to my mom for Christmas however… it has been a huge disappointment. First of all, the sponges are way too small. They look undersized for the baskets and, compared to my other unit, they have an algae problem and did not germinate my seeds nearly as effectively. 3 pods didn’t germinate at all, even after re-seeding them and most are algae covered.Next, and probably the worst issue, is the pump- it’s totally useless. Apart from being tiny it just doesn’t circulate the water at all. My other unit (Hemoplt) has a feature I really love where there is like a hose or something with branches that makes the water flow right into each pod. This unit’s pump is just at the bottom in the corner and when it’s running you can’t even tell- the water doesn’t appear to be moving at all.I also could not figure out the “wi-Fi” feature but honestly I barely tried after being so underwhelmed once I set it up.You guys can do better than this, I mean come on.. 👎🏻

Comes with an app!
I love fresh herbs and was looking for a way to grow them all year round. This Hydroponic Growing System is perfect for an indoor garden. I like that you can put it anywhere, even if there is little to no natural light. I also like that there is an app. I can control the growing system from anywhere! I'm a beginner and it was easy for me to assemble quickly. The power cord is long, and it is a very quiet machine. I highly recommend!

Comparison to the LetPot Hydroponic System
Overall, this is a decent system. I also have the LetPot hydroponic system, which is five times the price(!!). This is a comparison to the LetPot, based on my personal growing experiences with both.First, this does work for hydroponic growing. The pump works, the light works, plant grow, etc. But it's not nearly as polished as the LetPot.The grow light doesn't go lower than about 7 inches above the pot, whereas the LetPot's light goes all the way down to the surface of the pot if you want it there. The time and light on/off cycles on this pot cannot be actually set without downloading the app. The app seems rather sketchy. It tried to get me to share my location, until I figured out how to proceed without doing so. The app itself is very basic, but it allows you to set the time, and to set the on/off periods that the light will follow. The screen on the LetPot on the other hand, allows you to completely control all the settings including the time, and the light's on/off cycles. It allows you to see the water level, see the light's brightness, and adjust the light's brightness if you wish. If you don't want to download the app to make it work, you don't have to. The LetPot's screen is a really good source of info and interaction, whereas this pot doesn't have one. Finally I would say that no matter what pot you get, you MUST get an EC/PH meter. They aren't very expensive and are incredibly important for making hydroponics work. My meter showed that my solution was unexpectedly acidic (4.9ph) and if I had't known that, my growing experience would have been an epic failure. DON'T THINK!! GET A EC/PH METER NOW!!Overall, this pot works fine for those on a budget. If you have money to spend, you'll be more impressed with the fit and finish and functionality of the LetPot.

Overall Good Unit with Lots of Space
I set up the Diivoo Smart Indoor Garden two months ago. The instructions and setup process were straightforward, although I chose not to use the wifi feature. The unit features user-friendly indicator lights for easy monitoring. The display partially cuts off the temperature and day numbers, making it difficult to read them accurately. The whisper-quiet water pump circulates 5.5 liters of water. Unlike some of my other units, the Diivoo does not move the water up to the top of the pods, so there is less water circulation. If I'm not careful, the plastic top is easily disturbed because it is slightly warped and does not secure well.It offers ample space to accommodate up to 15 pods and a height-adjustable light arm. The duration and timing of the light cycle functioned as intended, offering appropriate light intervals for optimal plant growth. The hydroponics pods supplied with the Diivoo have a flimsy seed basket. You must make or purchase covers to prevent algae growth and maintain the sponge's position within the baskets. (Some of the sponges floated above the height of the baskets.) The pods have transparent domes to encase emerging growth and plastic discs to cover unused holes. The top of the unit has several holes about the size of a pencil eraser, which raised concerns about potential algae growth. I decided to cover those holes with black contact paper to address this. The unit does not include pre-seeded sponges to get you started, so be prepared to add your own.
