These work great. I ordered more, much less expensive than those I can find in the big box stores.

I bought these for use near shrubs and newly planted trees to deep water the root zone. These are perfect! Just connect them to the poly drip line and and adjust the dial on top. These are adjustable from zero flow to a heavy soak. I love the fact that they are on stakes allowing them to easily be positioned near the root zone without splashing water on the foliage. + Inexpensive + Includes Connector + Variable Flow Rates + Stake Into Position + Consistent Flow _Bottom Line_ Yes, I would recommend these to a friend. The amount of water these put out in a short amount of time is great for deep watering plants to encourage deep root development. They can also be adjusted back to a much slower flow for plants that do not require the deep watering. I am amazed at the volume of water they put out without spraying all over the place. I am buying more for sure! Easy 5 Stars.

I am actually having problems with these sprinkler/bubblers. When they first start up,.....they act as though they are clogged up. I can completely remove the top and have water blow out the top. Then screw the top back on and they work really nicely. But after shutting down the zone for awhile,.....then turning back on the system,.....I have the same problem. I thought perhaps the lines were developing some sort of air lock while draining out of a further downstream sprinkler. So I purchased and installed check valves onto the distribution heads. This also did not solve the problems. To be fair,.....only about half of the installed bubblers have this problem. Rainbird recommended I use the 30 psi regulators. I switched and tried the 40 psi regulators. This did not help or hurt. I have since ordered some more and intend on removing the top and grinding some of the valve down. Then putting the top back on. (Perhaps there is just not enough clearance to push the air pocket out. If this does not work,.....I will remove the bubblers and just use emitter hose.

I didn't read close enough, I was expecting a large bag of these but low and behold, right here in the description, four. Which means these are over a dollar a piece. What I did like about them in my large pots is the ability to keep them at the edge of the pot and not waste water because it only sprays 180 degrees. Other cheap brands spray at 360 so you lose water over the edge of the pot if you do not lean them back a bit. These also seem to be made better than the cheap ones.

At first to get a wide spray I loosed bubbler cap - Not good - it worked it way off, shooting water straight up and all over everything - so I found screwing cap down 1/2 way, you get less coverage but cap stays on.
