Honestly the Best for the Price
Overall this backpack has fantastic value, unbeatable in terms of $$. It's really high quality (and Osprey in my opinion makes some of the most high-quality gear). The price is low compared to equivalent backpacks yet it has a premium feel to it all. Zippers are very sturdy and the fabric is tough and doesn't tear. Lots of padding on the belt and shoulders.I used it on a 4 day backpacking trip starting with 35 pounds of gear/food/water. It fit my bear canister sideways no problem.Pros:- Favorite feature is the Airscape back system, this is one of the main reasons i went wiith this bag.- I ended up loving the angled water bottle pockets on each side, made it very convenient to drink without stopping.- Comfortable up to 35 lbs.- Has all the adjustments you would expect for custom fit.- Large and sturdy, good fabric and zippers (it's surprising how they did not cut corners on quality for this lower-cost backpack).- Built-in rain cover is convenient, i did end up using it for very light rain.- "Sleeping bag" compartment accessible from bottom/outside divider can be removed for a larger main compartment.Cons:- No large outer mesh pocket- No access to main compartment from the back- Is not an ultra-light backpack (3.7 lbs.).Overall i highly recommend this backpack as an upgrade to keep for a long time, or as a first backpack if you're looking for what to get. You will not be dissapointed

Osprey Rook
Solid backpack. It's on the expensive side for what it is, but it is a superior quality to most bags at or under 200 bucks. The internal frame and sleek design assure you can haul it on a bus or train easily, without worrying about side pockets smacking people as you walk past or turn around. 65L is a nice amount of interior space and the lower pocket is roomie enough to store a sleeping bag, a blow up sleeping pad, and more. Without modifying the pack there are multiple ways to strap a tent to the pack. The shoulder straps are nicely padded, and fit xomfortably. The way that they are attached is different than it used to be, I do believe it is an improvement. The hip pads are nice for distributing weight and can carry extra odds and ends. I would recommend this backpack to any traveler.

Great Backpack
I've put a few hundred miles on this bag with several overnights. Plenty of room, plenty of comfort, easily adjusted. Longest day was 26 miles under 30lbs. Worked perfectly.

Perfect pack
I bought this backpack for my adult son who has just gotten into backpacking/camping. He loves it. It’s the perfect size and weight for hiking difficult terrain. There’s tons of room for storing the things he needs. The material is lightweight and durable. The zippers are easy to pull and use. He is so excited to take this on hiking trips!

Great lightweight pack for 1-5 day trekking
Great pack, well constructed, lightweight, two weeks of backpacking ~25lbs. On average. My only comment would be the waist strap, it's not as padded and tapered so it somewhat cut into my narrow hips...my waist is slim so if I had a wider waist this probably wouldn't have been an issue. Otherwise I enjoyed the raincover being included, the thoughtful pockets, and the straps compression was very helpful

Large, Durable, Looks Good
Ran my old off-brand pack through the ringer and decided it was time to upgrade. This pack seemed to have a good ratio of price to quality. Just came in today, looks and feels exactly as expected, and a day early at that. This thing holds a ton, much more than you'd need for an overnighter, suitable for a multi-day outing.I bring a large 0 Degree sleeping bag for winter time, and it's been a struggle, even with a high quality compression sack, to fit that thing into either of the two packs I've used before. A real wrestle, almost a two man job. This thing, the Rook 65, swallowed it up and looked good doing it. Stacked and packed all around it and was left with a shapely package that simply floats on your back.Adjistability is more than most need, and it even has a built in slip compartment for hydration bladders, something I hadn't even considered purchasing, now I kind of want one. That compartment takes up zero space when unused, of course. The side webbing for bottles and such even has a second opening that faces front, so reaching back for a drink while wearing the pack is easy. I use it for my bear spray, quick access. Plenty of additional compression straps along the outside as well. Will update after I take it out for a real test! Pleased so far.

Perfect all around pack!
Incredible pack! I order the Rook 65 along with the “highly reviewed” Granite Gear 60 (voted best back for comfort on long hikes) and this rook blows it out of the water in comfort, adjustability and design! It handles weight really well I am hauling about 45 lbs and is very good and distributing the weight to your hips instead of your shoulders. It is made out of tough material offering great protection from rough trails and light rain.

Eigentlich hat er mehr als nur 5 Sterne verdient
Der Rucksack war Liebe auf den ersten Blick! Genauso hatte ich mir das vorgestellt. Leicht, geräumig und trotzdem robust! Hier bekommt man alles, was man möchte.
