I love this laptop VESA. It is incredibly easy to assemble and you do not need any instructions. Although it was user error, I thought this laptop mount came with the VESA arm but it did not. It only comes with the plate that holds your laptop, therefore I had to buy the arm separately. Although it was user error, I still recommend it as you're able to place your laptop next to your monitor to clear space on the table and even use the laptop as a second screen.

I ordered this laptop VESA mount because I am fixing up my wife's home office and needed a way to mount a laptop on a monitor arm. This item gets it done. It's not as sturdy as I would like though. The metal tray is a bit thinner than I'd prefer, but for me the worst part is how the side tabs attach. The side tabs that keep the laptop centered on the tray are only attached by small (really tiny) plastic clips. Small, thin, plastic tabs extend through the slots in the tray and lock into plastic mating pieces one the arms for the side tabs. Not only are the tabs quite flimsy, but also difficult to release. And you may wish to release them, because once you attach the side tabs via the clips, the unit will no longer fit back into the box. So if you are not yet sure you wish to use this item right away and may want to store this item, I strongly suggest you do not attach the side tabs until needed. The flimsy little tabs should have been screws - the top portion should be threaded with the screws coming from underneath. I think four stars is fairly generous here - it's more like 3-1/2 stars maybe. Four stars.

This thing is exactly as described and pictured. It's got nice solid construction and some venting on the bottom to help improve airflow. Great budget laptop tray.

This is a lightweight solution, but the side arms can easily slide around and not stay in place. Furthermore, in the most rear position, and depending on where the connection ports are on your laptop, the side arms could block access to them. The ventilation slits on the bottom are a nice touch, and the paint job is nicely done.
