Is this product of China or Japan?

Amazon describes it as 'Product of Japan' so one assumes that is correct. However, in smallish print the jar has the words 'Product of China'. I think in this case Amazon should confirm which is correct? I have suffered no problems in using it.

How long does this product last after it has been opened?

I opened mine at Xmas and still going, it is pickled so I imagine a few months if kept in the fridge.

Is this pickled ginger?

not sure whether you would call it pickled but it is preserved and delicious with salmon
