Great for a mounting point.
Easy install but the chrome rings are showing signs of rust.

As pictured and no direction
We actually purchased this for the dynabolt that has the eye loop. We sit out the front some evening and want to have our dog out the front I had in mind a bolt with a loop that I could mount into the concrete driveway. It didn't come with any directions but easy enough to figure out what size masonry bit I needed (1/2") and it now mounted solidly into the concrete. If you have never installed dynabolts or trying to install a shade sail for which this is intended then it would be confusing so you lose a star for that.

A good buy!
I love these! They were exactly what I was looking for. The welds and threading for the base and poles might require you to utilize washer and balance out your base a bit, but overall these were a great buy to install my shade sail. I am extremely happy with the look and will definitely be spending more time outdoors now.

Like other reviewer mentioned
Decent quality hardware kit. Like other reviewer mentioned, throw away the screws that come with it right away. Get good ones. I was able to strip the first screw with a screwdriver while trying to screw it into a pre-punched hole. Got good screws, no more problem. Please note, that even though description says super heavy duty, if you have a larger sail (16'x16'x16' or bigger) and plan to hang your sail in a possibly windy location - you definitely want to get 8" hardware kit instead.

Study and reliable
I tried another option, that was less expensive. I tensioned down my shade sail and the pole snapped. These are durable, and they aren’t coming down. Aside from the anchors they are easy to put up. If I’m going to be stuck at home this summer, I’ll at least enjoy the shade

Sturdy pole!
Straight forward to install. Decent instructions. My only negative is they state it’s powder coated and it’s not.

Shade
Bought this for a shade cover. Have bought before and easy to install and setup and have been good to hold for wind and rain.

Pole broke after a month
Installed two of these 10' poles, which can in three sections. I had a 9'x9' sun sail attached to this and the other two ends attached to my house. After a month one pole broke at the treads of the pipe at the base. It fell down, lucky it missed our new glass patio table, but unfortunately hit our firepit and cracked it. As I took the other pole down, I notice the treads at a mid joint was cracked as well.I did notice when I put it together the treads were very short (not to many). It was never really totally stable in my opinion. And trust me I tightened those pipes up when I installed them. Not impressed with the quality. I now have two pipes I have no clue what to do with. Will probably be going the wood framed route which I was hoping not too by using these poles
