Brilliant...thank you Seth!
Biased review, but putting together 2 of my favourite ever things was always going to be a winner with me.Seth said they were forced to do the final one and there are some bits where you think they wern't trying...but most bits are really funny. Stand out moment is Brian in Endor.I picked this LE set on the cheap - theres not too much to it but buy for the film, you will watch it again and again.

Family Guy - It's a Trap!
The Limited edition comes with a T-shirt, which looks a lot like the box cover only better. I haven't found any use for the Collectors cards included, but the printed copy of the script is worth a quick read through.Overall, it's worth buying the Limited Edition, if only so you can show off the t-shirt to your friends. I have marked this down a star, as I don't see any point in the collectors cards, and the box itself is bulky, and does not fit in with all my other DVD's & Blu-rays - I would have liked the Disc in a standard DVD or Blu-ray case really. It's a must watch for any Family Guy fan, or even Star Wars fans with a sense of humour, especially if you've seen the previous two 'themed' stories: "Blue Harvest" & "Something, Something, Dark Side". They effectively cover Episodes 4 (A New Hope), 5 (The Empire Strikes Back) & 6 (Return of the Jedi) of the Star Wars films, but with a Family Guy humorous twist.

FANTASTIC, worth paying that bit extra!!
I am a huge family guy fan and this was the only dvd I did not have so I thought lets pay the bit extra for the limited edition, and it was worth it, the episode it great but the t shirt and collectors cards are brilliant.also in there is a copy of the script signed by seth mcfarlane, which in itself is worth the extra money.so yeah I highly recommend it to any family guy fan

This is one spin off I will highly recomend you to watch if you like family guy or star wars too. So many jokes made about parts of the Star wars movie Return of The Jedi and even some speacil guests in it too who play parts of some of the people in it.

Part homage, part spoof
It's a trap is pretty much what you would think it is. Partly an homage to Star Wars, and partly a spoof. Seth McFarlane and Seth Green are huge fans of Star Wars (Green often spoofs Star Wars on his show Robot Chicken), which probably helped get Fox's permission and Lucasfilm's blessing to do spoof Star Wars. It began with the wildly popular Blue Harvest, then the follow-up with Something, Something Dark Side, which spoofed A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back Respectively. This one, as you can tell from the cover, spoofs Return of the Jedi. There is a pretty good joke at the beginning that they are just doing this one to cash in and declare in the opening crawl that Fox made them do this one. Like the other ones, this is basically a longer version of a Family Guy episode, and because it is on DVD, you get uncensored jokes. Some of the jokes are pretty cringe-worthy and fall flat, while others work pretty well. It is a very mixed bag. It also does not help that this spoofs the movie that is pretty much universally considered the weakest of the original movies. For those who get the DVD, the extras include a commentary track on the movie with Seth MacFarlane, writers David A. Goodman, Cherry Chevapravatdumrong, Shannon Smith, and director Peter Shin. Then there is a "Special Message from Darth Stewie, that is just a random joke as a separate extra, a Star Wars Trivial Pursuit that is basically the writers answering Star Wars questions for a half an hour, and a twenty-minute feature on drawing the characters, a short outtakes clip, an animatic version of the show, and a making the scene feature in which the director explains on the evolution of a couple of different scenes from the animatic version to what ends up in the final product. So, there is a lot of bonus material for those who want to watch it.Overall, it just seemed like this had to be made because they had spoofed the other two movies, not because anyone involved in the process actually wanted to do this one. That definitely comes through in the final product as it is not nearly as good as the first two, but then again neither was the source material. As I said above, some of the jokes were good and some fell flat, which really made for an inconsistent final product. But, if you are a fan of Family Guy and have the other DVDs, you probably will want this to keep your collection complete.

Much funnier than all the negative reviews say it is
I watched it twice this weekend and a third time with the commentary track.I found it to be just as enjoyable as the previous two parodies. "Jedi" is widely regarded as the least satisfying installment of the Star Wars original trilogy. Part of that may stem from the general disdain towards the "cuteness quotient" of the Ewoks, and part of that might simply be because "The Empires Strikes Back" was a hard act to follow. Truth be told, anyone trying to parody "Return of the Jedi" simply has less fruitful material to work with. The "Family Guy" staff readily admits they had trouble writing this episode. It's hard to parody the same thing three times and keep it fresh. But I think they did a more than adequate job with it. And visually it is even more spectacular than the previous two.It may not be as consistently funny as "Blue Harvest" or "Something, Something, Something Dark Side", but you must admit that the novelty of a Family Guy parody of a Star Wars film has worn off a bit by now. Given that, I think writers David Goodman and Cherry Chevapravatdumrong did a fine job. I am happy to add this DVD to my library alongside the other two parodies.Speaking of staff writer Cherry Chevapravatdumrong, she is one of the four writers of these parodies featured in the DVD bonus content feature in which they compete in a game of Star Wars Trivial Pursuit. Cherry is very easy on the eyes, if you know what I mean, and it wouldn't surprise me if she started getting a little bit of fan mail. Not only is she a Star Wars fan, she also went to Yale and later earned a law degree. She's good-looking, funny, smart, AND a little nerdy. I'm in love from afar! That aside, "It's A Trap!" is better than the negative reviews here would indicate. It manages to skewer the film and maintain its "Family Guy" sensibility. This one is similar enough in tone and execution to the previous two parodies that I believe anyone who loved the first two but gave this one a deeply negative review is just over-reacting. For something to be truly deserving of a one- or two-star review, it really needs to be crummy on just about every level. That would not be the case here. I think the large number of low-star reviews here are from people who just were disappointed that it didn't meet their high expectations for whatever reasons, and they angrily dismissed the film as being worse than it truly is. But hey, that's the Internet for you.I think my favorite joke in the whole episode was the "Power Station" gag. If you weren't listening to rock radio in the mid 1980's, you might not get the joke. But this show is for us over-40 adults too, not just you young whippersnappers.

Great end to the trilogy parody!
Ratings are a guesstimate, usually on the "safe side".Genre: Comedy, Sci-FiSituations: Probably PG+ Probably bordering on RLanguage: Probably PG+Nudity: N/AViolence: PGSpecial Features: A Very Special Message from Darth Stewie (I found hilarious), Star Wars Trivial Pursuit championship (between the writers of the 3 Family Guy Star Wars Episodes).(Not too bad), Drawings/Animatics, Sock-puppet outtakes (spoof, about 1 minute), Making the Scene (animatic/finished comparison), Commentary (There is also a commentary in the Set-up menu, possibly the same one, but I didn't check). If you are here, you've probably seen the other two FG SW spoofs already. This one continues (and finishes most likely) the trilogy in the same manner as the first two. Possibly the best of the three, if you've seen the first two don't skip on this one. If you haven't seen the first two, do so then don't skip this one...
