The digital display shows measurements in millimeters with resolution only to the nearest tenth (0.1) of a millimeter. If you only need accuracy to the nearest centimeter, divide the displayed measurement by 10. For instance, a display value of 14.4 millimeters equals 1.44 centimeters.

Can you use this tool to measure the diameter of coins. so you can order the right size coin bezel holder for the coin ? Coin bezel co. is asking me

I would think so, I use it for measuring calendars to make stickers so that is how I use it but I believe you could fit the coin in between the two prongs and it will tell you inches or cm.

Will this be useful for telling the size in millimetres of a gemstone or bead?

I think so I use mine to measure planner stickers but I think someone could use it to measure a bead
