Sturdy, quiet keyboard; mouse on unit; good battery life and signal range. Perfect for living area media PCs. Batteries included
Good product. Had the silver-coloured model from the same supplier which lasted four or five years despite being dropped, sat on etc as with many tech products that aren't wired into a fixed point. These Keysonic keyboards are great for living/family room media systems as the built in trackpad eliminates the need for a mouse (and the flat clean smooth surface that a mouse needs to work on). Very good battery life as it goes into a "sleep" mode if unused, easily woken up by pressing a key. This model is a lot sturdier than my long lasting silver one (Which incidentally, was squashed by a human one too many times and only works if sharply hit in the back, where the unit looks a little rounded out from impact...).Sturdy, really really good range (the USN connector comes with a short extension, in case your computer is tucked away, mine works fine about four meters away, at the back of a computer in a cupboard; really soft, quiet keys although still with good ;tactile response; trackpad small but fine, physical buttons are slightly to front of keyboard, ie, not where you'd bump them when typing. Only thing not a fan of is the blue light that flashes whenever a key is pressed. So I put a piece of black tape over it and that sorted out the issue - Had previously purchased another "all in one" keyboard mouse but it was so flimsy and had a range of about one meter and the mouse bit never worked (see other review) so was a waste of money...

Poorly designed, slow response, designed for children with small hands
I read the reviews about this key sonic keyboard, got it and was disappointed. This product is very poor.Bad Points:Num lock is by default on when you boot into windows 7, so you type your password and o=6 etc, took me 15 mins to work that out, what is num lock on by default? The 'Enter' key is hard to find if your used not looking at a keyboard, you end up fumbling another ket as it is not on the edge of the keyboard, its in-between a group of keysThe cap lock has no light indicator ? Seriously? So you don't know what mode your in.The key action is 'springy', lot of travel in keys for some reasonThe mouse pad is sticky, not smooth to touch, maybe needs polished or somethingThe 2 mouse buttons are not integrated onto the track pad, they are separate, built into the frame of the keyboard. The trackpad is of center, makes it really awkward to get used toWireless connections cuts out from time to time, even at 50 cm's, maybe prone to interference, not sure, very annoyingGood points:Might be ok if you use it to control your media station or something simple like thatGeneral:Cheap and poorly designed bit of kit, too much functionality squashed onto a keyboard, slow response sometimes, I really don't understand how this got good reviews,

Nice product but not perfect
This is a nice keyboard which works well and would have got 5 stars but for a few flaws. The action of the keyboard is just OK. It works fine if using for a multimedia system on the TV but I wouldn't want to use it to type an essay. The mouse pad is also just OK. Maybe it is because I only use it on a TV but I find it a bit vague. The range seems good (when the batteries are new at least) but it is hard on batteries and I would recommend a set of chargeable nimh batteries to go with it. It would be nice to be able to tone down the blue led which flashes every time you move the mouse or hit a key, it is really bright and a very annoying, I covered it with tape but then couldn't tell when it was switched off. All in all for this money I guess it is good value and unless you are a heavy user I could recommend it.

Latest version from Keysonic
I was weaned on a laptop, so I find a traditional mouse and key board awkward to use.I have own three of these keyboards, two of them are the older silver versions and this own.So I can compare them. The silver one is good enough to use as a pc keyboard and I have written hundreds of documents using them. The black one is designed for using with Wi-Fi devices etc. from your armchair.Pros: new one has nice soft touch feel to it - has a switch to conserve power - uses only 2 AAA batteries - touch pad has improved, by omitting the scroll section, and has finger tap control.Cons: key layout is odd - with the delete key next to the direction arrows - mouse buttons are too small and on a angle which is more aesthetic than ergonomic - it still eats batteries, even with a on/off switch, but to be fair it does get a lot of use.Of the two the old own is better, so I have swopped my office and home one around & use the older owns most of the time - with the new one for mobile devices, for which it is surely designed.

Eats batteries
I previously had the older silver model which wore out after 2 years hard labour and was looking forward to recieving this slightly smaller more modern model. After 2 months use I can declare this newer model is unreliable (it loses contact with the pc) and requires turning off when not in use otherwise your batteries will be flat in 2 days, very disappointing, I would recommend the older silver model over this.
