First impression... very well made, with a reassuringly solid construction and weight. Arrives in a well padded/robust cardboard box, so hopefully will reach you in A1 condition. The finish is excellent, and after going all over it carefully, I can't see any marks or defects. Good to know it's not just a thrown-together tool... some extra care has been made in constructing this. It has the 180-degree front/rear swivel as shown in the listing, and you can lock it off in any position via the knob on the opposite side to the angle-indicator dial. It does take a bit of securing by hand, but once there it feels solid enough to prevent drooping while in operation. The support column just slides onto the track and is secured by a single knurled screw. After it's been used a few times, the bottom of the channel will inevitably show marks where its' been locked in place. I've uploaded a few pics just to show a bit more detail (including the motor and belt assembly). Hopefully they will give a bit more of a clue as to the overall quality of this rotary. You will have to do a bit of Google-research as to the suitability for using with your particular machine. I've already had a quick look, and while some have encountered a few niggles on some machines, most have been very happy with it. On an overall build-quality basis... 5-Stars.

Once set up correctly it will work with LightBurn, tested it on Acmer S1 PRO and Atomstack X20 and both allows me to engrave on water bottles. The jaws allow it to grab the bottle from the outer edge or with the included rods it can grab by expending on the inside edge. This makes this easy for both very large (tumbles) and very small round shapes (finger rings) etc

Sorry to say that this product will not work with a CO2 laser cutter/engraver . The supplied lead has a connector designed for a diode laser set up. Even with a converter cable connection it will not work. The output from my Omtech 50w machine is far too much for the NEMA 17 stepper motor that is fitted. I looked at fitting a larger motor but the correct motor will not physically fit. Shame because other than that it looks good and appears well built. I'm sure it will perform well with a lower powered machine. Returned no bother thanks.

Sono rimasto veramente sorpreso dal rapporto qualità prezzo di questo Rotary. Ne ho già uno a rulli che però non ha grande versatilità con oggetti non perfettamente cilindrici che, per inciderli, ho dovuto fare un supporto ad hoc. Con questo Rotary, anche se tramite la stampante 3d ho dovuto fare delle ganasce personalizzate, il sistema a mandrino si è rivelato molto più efficace rispetto a quello con i rulli. Le incisioni risultano molto più precise e la velocità d'incisione può essere impostata molto più elevata non essendoci problemi di scivolamento come il sistema a rulli. La dotazione fornita è assolutamente di tutto rispetto ed anche la cura costruttiva è molto buona. Unica osservazione è che avrei fatto la spina di fermo fermo orizzontale con possibilità di esclusione, io ho dovuto rimuoverla per problemi tecnici dovuti alla forma dei bicchieri da incidere. Articolo consigliatissimo.

I purchased this at an odd time. There was a 2 month delivery estimate at the time of purchase in late November. It actually much sooner, a day before Christmas! Was not expecting that. Just a little surprise to help make the holiday better. I suspect the delay was because of a change in the design of the rotary unit, as well as what is included in the kit itself. The actual rotary is different than what was pictured (when I bought it). This product listing has since been updated with the newer additional features and photos of this improved design. It now comes with a lever lock for the chuck itself, which is much improved over the former design (from what I've read in other reviews). This locks the rotary itself so it's easier to clamp items into the chuck. Brilliant! It also came with a set of universal legs to raise the laser bed itself, for better clearance for the rotary. This is awesome. I was wondering how I might make this work, and they solved it before even had to search for a solution. Another GREAT surprise. They certainly didn't need to include these parts, but they sure did. This company has supplied some of the parts the laser engraver manufacturers should be including with the laser engraver in the first place. Bravo!! Really. One small issue was that it did not come with all of the materials listed on the original product page. Not an issue, but this could have been a problem for some buyers. I'll take the improved design and additional feature set and accessories the new design offers vs the original materials, If I had to choose. I would have liked to test those, but alas, not this time it seems. The new photos do not show the same items as included so no need to worry if you are buying it now. Trust me, it's a much better package after the improvements. Win-win. How well does it work? It's really nice. No issues so far, but I only tried a few simple materials I had available. If there are additional issues down the road, I'll surely update this review. It came with the needed wiring, the motor and all necessary parts to do just about any type of material this can handle. There are multiple methods to lock the items into the chuck. It's just a well designed piece of equipment. I suspect it will supply years of heavy use. Well worth the asking price. If you are in the market for a rotary roller, THIS IS IT. It's very well made. The fit and finish are impeccable. Not a bit of metal shavings, funky threads, scratched or beat up parts. Nope, it's beautiful, solid and just plain works. It comes with EVERYTHIING you might need to engrave 3 dimensional materials. There are actually 2 different ways to support the side that isn't locked into the chuck, depending on the size and shape of said material. I'm really impressed with this unit. The price is also MUCH better than the competition. Nearly half the price for a similarly capable unit. I would be happy to receive any products from this company. You can just tell they care about their products and customers.
