They replaced older style low power bulbs based on flourescent technology, which were irritatingly dim and took a good minute to warm up. These, being LED, turn on instantly and are much brighter, making it a nicer environment for woodworking and other DIY stuff. Price wise, at under £2 a bulb I calculate they will pay for themselves in about a year in reduced electricity bills. Overall, a very pleasing upgrade. ### ⭐ Flickeringly bad!!! *by J***B on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 January 2019* Really disappointed in the quality of these. After about a week 2 of them 6 pack started flickering.
