Loose fit, but extremely helpful
Loose fit as others indicated (even for our large old cat), but very helpful for hock sores . Our cat has limited use of both rear legs so constantly rubs his hocks while walking. The socks have helped a lot with the raw sores and he totally tolerates them even though they’re loose. We bought several pairs to be able to wash one pair while wearing the other pair.

FALSE ADVERTISING!!
This add for hock socks shows a small kitten as well as an average size cat in the pictures but they are GIGANTIC!! Too big for even a large sized cat. These are clearly designed for medium sized dogs but advertised for smaller animals.... but why? I don't get it.

Item probably works on the right cat.
The order was great. The order came as expected. My cat's leg was just too thin for this to fit properly and I got the smallest one I could get. I think the design is good and has a lot of potential for being helpful. If I have a problem with a bunny with the bottom of their foot I would use it for that too.

Perfect Solution
I discovered this cat sock and it solved my problem! My cat licked her back hock raw and bleeding. After taking her to the vet twice at a cost of $1200 this was such an affordable solution. It helped circulate air to dry the wound out and secured it top and bottom with the stretching tape that comes on a roll. The wound will take time to heal and she doesn’t like the sock, but has tolerated it very well!

comfortable and perfect for a larger breed cat
I do not generally write reviews but have to in this case because these hock socks are life changing. I'm so glad previous reviews mentioned that they are too big because I have a 30lb Maine Coon cat and anything I buy is generally too small and has to be sent back. These fit him (almost) perfectly. He's had joint issues in his back legs since an injury when he was a kitten and these are so much more comfortable for him to wear than the stiff orthopedic braces that I've been trying to keep on him. I would ask for a couple of improvements, which is why this is 4 rather than 5 stars. First would be to make them a teeny bit more supportive - they're pretty soft. The second is to have some form of nubbies on the bottom so that they don't slip around on hard surfaces. Highly recommend, however, and I'm ordering two more pairs so I can cycle them through the wash and let them air dry (so they don't shrink!)

It may have worked...
Getting my cat to sit still long enough to put it on was near impossible. Once in, she took it right off and I had to find another solution.

For Bigger Cats
My poor boy has a hot spot on the bottom of his right paw and I've tried everything to keep him from getting to it. Cone + donut, wrapping it + wearing a sock. He still manages to pull the sock off and agitate the bandages. I figured id give these a try and they fit almost perfectly but enough to where he cant get to the area and its cushioned enough to where him rubbing his cone against it doesn't agitate it. Not sure why its advertised for smaller cats though as it wont fit. And theres 1 pair in one bag. I bought 2 expecting 2 separate ones and instead received 4 each lol

This is for a full grown cat or even small dog.
Not sized for a kitten - which is pictured several times in the photos. Did not even remotely fit my 8 month old kitten.

It runs a little big on our cat but at least it doesn't cut off the circulation, so she can wear it for hours without her toes swelling. It is also a little long for her thigh, but the lower part fits ok. Our vet recommended something because she tore a tendon and is not a good candidate for surgery, and otherwise puts too much pressure on the elbow when she walks. We're hopeful that this brace could ward off sores on her elbow, as that would increase the chance her leg might have to be amputated.

The proportions are completely wrong. Too long to fit at the heel and leave the paw pad free for grip when walking. The Velcro is over the tip of the paw and slips off in seconds. The other side is too short to go far enough up the thigh to fasten well and not slip off. My 3 yr old 10 lb cat had it off in 2 seconds no matter how tight I set the Velcro.

L’idée est bonne, mais mon chat les enlève rapidement. Taille un peu grande et pas très confortables pour lui.
