Cuts zip ties smooth, no more jagged nubs
I do a lot of work on classic cars and I am always using zip ties to sort and keep wiring clean. I have several various cutters, good tools - Knipex, Channel Locks, etc, but none of them ever seem to be able to cut the tie perfectly smooth. Enter the Tsunoda KBN126...this little cutter is awesome! I had recently installed audio in my Grand National and I used these Tsunoda cutters for the first time, I am quite impressed. I like that you can grip the tie firmly and pull tight easily, and a with a quick snip, the edge of the tie is cut smooth. Whenever I am cutting zip ties from now on, there's no doubt which tool I am grabbing for the job.

All cutters offer exceptional sharpness and solid construction. The 6” tie cutter model lacks a spring to assist opening. However the jaw opening is unparalleled and the grip section is terrific for tightening zip ties. It’s flat ground tip was likely chosen to protect the surface beneath a zip tie while cutting. This limits some precision use but makes sense given its intended application. Its head is also angled to allow easy access for flush cuts against walls or in tight spaces. While the KNIPEX offers exceptional quality, the narrow opening jaws severely limit its versatility. However, for the right application the KNIPEX would be great for delicate work in a compact form factor. The grip, spring and precision tip are terrific. The hinge action is unrivaled. For a tradesman tool, the lack of a tip protector or spring lock is a mistake. However, none of these tools offer a lock for transport. Both the 7” and 8” Tsunoda cutters offer the same quality and features with the 8” adding a bolt-stop which can be used to promote blade protection or to execute partial depth cuts. The 8” also offers a slightly larger/longer cutter which could be beneficial for cutting large plastic crate-ties.

High quality, low price
These are easily worth $40, $45, but they only cost $20. Impressive fit and finish, magically flush zip tie cuts, nicely textured grips to prevent slips and fumbles, and a little serrated gripping section to tug a zip tie tighter. I'm impressed.

Well built, perfect manufacturing
I saw these reviewed favorably on some EDC tools video on YT, but wasn't really familiar with the brand. I needed a new pair of diagonal snips, so gave them a try.Very well built, balanced weight, the movement is smooth and precise. Absolutely no wiggle in the joint, and the blades come together flush without any gap. Easy to open and close with one hand.I'll definitely look at Tsunoda for future tool purchases.

High‑Quality Zip‑Tie Cutter With Tightening Hook Feature from Premium Japanese brand
This Tsunoda KBN‑150 cable tie cutter is an amazing value for the quality you get. The built‑in tie‑pulling hook is incredibly useful—it lets you tighten cable ties by rocking the pliers back and forth, giving you a clean, secure cinch every time. The cutter leaves a flush, snag‑free finish, and the tool feels great in the hand during use.I do wish this model were spring‑loaded like some of Tsunoda’s smaller cutters, but that’s a minor preference rather than a flaw. Even without the spring, the action is smooth and controlled.Tsunoda continues to build a strong reputation in the U.S. as a premium Japanese toolmaker offering high‑quality tools at very reasonable prices. This cutter is another example of that—excellent performance without the premium price tag.I’ll definitely be buying more Tsunoda tools in the near future.

Handles wire and zip ties no problem
Use it every day for over a year in HVAC trade. It's one of my main tools. Highly recommend it for the Refrigeration trade. High quality and very sharp cutting edge. Doesn't take up a lot of room in the bag.

So this review is for all 3 sizes. Yea, I couldn't help it, had to get all 3.
Bought 1 of each. So this review is for all 3 sizes.I couldn't help myself. Why 3 sizes ????The 4" is spring loaded, I like that. The 5" and 6" are not.The grind on the blade of the 4" seem perfect, can not see thru the cutting edges when close, no pressure. The 6" looks like the cutter is slightly used, can see thru sections of where the cutting edges contact,a few very small semi circles, but with some pressure, no light.5", sort of the same, not as pronounced. Cleaner , but not perfect. So deducting 1 star for this for the 5 and 6".So far 5 stars for the 4"I think for most people that work inside of chassis with small tywraps, the 4" is going to be perfect. Spring loaded, good control, small size. For working in cabinet , 5" with a combo of small and large tywraps.. Maybe the 6" , but I feel the leverage on the 6" is going to be better with large / XL / thicker tywraps, maybe too much on med tywraps. I can see the 4" getting tiresome on a lot of med tywraps. In playing with them on an asst of small and med tywraps. Cheap and Good variations.I find I can use the 6" and 5" on the small tywraps, but easily can tare the lead/tail off, more control with the 4"For the med, cheap tywraps, I can certainly do well with them with the 4".The 5 and 6, again, not careful and rip/cut the tail lead off, then have to go back and cut it flush anyway. The better tywraps, 6" and 5" can stretch the tail lead, not break it like on the cheap tywraps. The pulling serrated jaw and roundness of the head surface really do provide function. But ihmo, the serrations are soo sharp maybe, I'm guessing I'm more cutting , rather than ripping the tail lead off when rotating the head to pull on the lead/tail of the cheap tywraps when tighten it only with the serrated area.Guessing the 4" doesn't provide as much torque, it's smaller. All cut the small and med tywraps super flush, and easily and perfectly.I don't have any large or XL tywraps to try, but based on feel and experience, that's where the 6" is going to shine.I just bought another set of 4" and 6" for my garage. I think that is the best combo, for me.Under a dash with the 4" , 6" everywhere else in the car/truck or yard. The 4,5,6 will stay in my lab/shop down stairs. For a quality set of cutters or pliers, this not expensive. I usually use flush cut nippers, that run $5-$7 each in a set of five from amazon, and use them to cut thru hole component leads too. They are consumables. These will not be cutting finger nails or component leads. So expect them to last a long time when cutting only plastic tywraps.

Tsunoda KBN-125 Flush Cutter
Excellent flush cutters for zip ties. I also own the Tsunoda KBN-150 flush cutters as well. I use mine to flush cut zip ties only. I do not use them to cut any type of wire. Excellent value for the money.

Amazing tie-wrap cutters
So glad I found these. Best tool I’ve used to cut tie-wraps. They always give me a perfect flush cut, the end of the tie-wrap is never sharp. I love the back of the cutters that helps to tighten the tie-wrap before cutting it. They also work well cutting small cables but I will be keeping these cutters mostly for tie-wraps. Buy them, you won’t regret the purchase

Good quality
This flush cutter is purpose built for effectively cutting plastic flush and smooth. The ridged part is awesome for gripping cable ties to tighten them. The cut was flush and smooth.
