Makita LS0816F/2 240V 216mm Slide Compound Saw

Saw is really good for the price the light is good but don't rely on the shadow line if your aiming for precision would say it's about 1 to 2 mm out but minor. 9/10

'Makita' should be all one needs to add for a review!, this is a beautiful machine, slices through timber like butter, not tried to cut anything else with it, I'm a bit protective of my lovers ;)

This is a brilliant product so easy to use gets the job done worth every penny. Would recommend to anyone who wants a great chop saw for a good price.

Very good quality and accurate cuts. It has a LED which transmits the line of cut onto the workpiece so shows cutting line which is very useful for accuracy. After trying to other cheaper manufacturers sliding compound saws, I should have just ordered this one instead. Good value for money

Easy to set up. Don’t expect text in the instructions, you will find diagrams mainly. The saw works perfectly. I used it for hours to cut various timbers for the fire and it also cleaned down with ease by use of a 3 inch soft paint brush.

I considered purchasing a used better model Makita mitre saw. However, I was only going to do some panelling around the house. I decided to try this one out and have been very pleased. I changed the blade it comes with for a 100 teeth one. Cuts have been accurate and done the job I needed of it. I did let the decorator use it, since he was putting some dado rail up. He did an angled cut and cut the end off the upper fence! Note, when the blade is angled, the upper fence should be removed. Changing the angles is really easy and the shadow line of the blade is useful. The saw itself is also not overly heavy, so can be picked up and moved. It was too bright outside, so I moved the saw inside to see the shadow line. Happy with the purchase.

Excellent and great value for money, the cutting light is also excellent

Very happy with this purchase. Much better than my old one. Motor noise slightly quieter than the predecessor. Smooth action and all checked out as accurate. Quite big but not too heavy. Electrical cord 'store away' badly designed as the plug has nothing to hook onto of which means the cord starts to unravel. Not too much of a big deal but when the manufacturer uses the cord storage as a selling point....you kind of expect a genius solution! Would def recommend this saw.

Non posso dire nulla su questa sega, leggera, precisa e con un ottima lama. I led utilizzabili per vedere dove avverranno il tagli sono perfetti anche se dopo qualche ora di lavoro non riesco più a vedere bene l'ombra della lama, ma credo sia solo sporcizia accumulata.

Excellent tool for home. On arrival plse check the degrees. they are not 100% correct but you can adjust them.
