If you work on cars relatively often like my son and I do, you'll find yourself occasionally (or more than occasionally) renting tools from the local auto parts store that you just don't have. Although rental is a great option and very inexpensive, it can get to be a pain after a while. When you find yourself renting the same tool over and over, it's probably time to buy one.That was the case with us on a general-purpose fitting removal set. Modern vehicles have all sorts of quick-release fittings on them, but many of them require a special tool to actually release them. We decided to (finally) buy a set for occasional use and this set fit that bill perfectly. The week after it arrived, we used it to remove a fuel line fitting and it worked perfectly.Is this the right set for a professional mechanic? Probably not, but that set would cost significantly more too. For the home mechanic though, it worked great for us!

I will say that this is not the highest quality set, but it's not necessary to set out to be that either. For the price, the quality is pretty good for occasional use, particularly if you are a DIY at home. How this kit might stand up in the shop is another thing. But at the same time they frequency of use of hose disconnects probably is not a whole lot. So I think that this could service a technician and a professional shop, especially if they don't do a lot of gas line and AC line disconnects, which I don't think that's that's terribly common in the first place. Either way I get this kit five stars as it will cover pretty much most disconnects you will come across and I feel like it will not only service at DIY but a technician as well.

Reasonable quality, the collar and slip fit ones feel decent and seem like they will last, the sizes seem accurate.The X type ones feel very loose and do not feel like the rivet's will last, or hold the tool square to release the fitting, the plyers are a nice addition, but do not feel that bad but the rivet holding them together has a lot of slop and does not feel secure.

I'm an older seasoned automotive technician, I'm reviewing this product based on my many years of experience in the field using high quality parts, supplies, and tools. This fuel line, transmission line, A/C line disconnect tool kit. Comes with most adapters that are used in the automotive field. Some of the plastic tools don't feel like they are real high quality, but others feel robust. Several of the tools are made from metal and should last a long time. Comes in a plastic organizing case, unfortunately the case has a folding plastic hinge that will fail rather quickly versus a pinned hinge that seldom fails. Comes with an instruction manual that leaves a lot to be desired. Price point is considered reasonable for this item.

This is a good set of disconnect tools - I have several individual tools, but this set includes those plus many more. The quality is decent - certainly fine for the home repair person, but may not be up to the standards for everyday use in a repair shop - but the price reflects that. Also, while it is described as a "Master" set, it does not cover all variants of disconnects, such as stepped ones used on some Ford vehicles. Well worth the price for the home repair person.

This "master" disconnect set will definitely work for most situations. It is missing the Ford transmission cooler adapter - the one that needs a stepped fitting. Other than that, this tool set has a disconnect tool for nearly any application. They're well made and store away nicely.

These quick disconnect tools are veey well made out of quality materials. No rough edges and precise angles. Accurate sizing and slips on/off lines with ease. Good shoulder size for pushing tools into fittings.The hose removal pliers work well and are durable enough for the toughest hoses.The case is also decent quality offering adequate protection and organization.
