The light takes CR123 batteries which is pretty standard for gun accessories. Seems solid and well built, still works after at least 500-700 rounds I've put through the gun with light attached.CONS::Light does not seat completely on the Sig P227, it will jiggle around if you move it back and forth (Not a deal breaker and not noticeable if you're not touching the light). The light gets extremely dirty and the lens covers up with powder after about 50 rounds (this is normal, but it would be nice for the light to not be so long).

Another use. I prefer this on my AR. It fits snugly on a picatinny rail, and mounted vertically the on off switch is easy to reach and manipulate with the "c clamp" style of grip. Now I'm no high speed low drag, LEO, Military, operator; for my use -range, plinking, home defense, it's a great value. Light weight, small, cheap [ look up sure fire, inforce, streamlight etc. ]As a pistol mounted light? Meh... lateral on off switch is hard to manipulate and notchy. I think this is the 3" version, another version comes in 2.5" - so choose wisely. I know this version fits Glock G3 G19, Sig sp2022, CZ 9-07 duty.

This item is perfect for it's intended use. I wanted an attachable flashlight/ strobe that would give me light without having to hold a light and allow me to control the weapon with both hands. It is well made and detaches quickly and easily. I didn't know just how bright 250 lumems would be but this light is like a mini spotlight in my backyard at night. I can see very well all the way to the property line. I can attach it / detach it in a second. It isn't usable in any holster I own which isn't a prob;em because I only because I only have it attached when I'm home. I don't know how long the battery lasts and I don't know about replacement battery costs. The on / off switch can be operated easily. The price is perfect and I couldn't be more happy with the product. Perfect match for my full size P250.

This light is as described and I would recommend to others. The quick on and off latch works very well. My only disapointment was the switch to turn it on and off. It operates too easily and one must take care not to let it get bumped. Putting it on a M1 carbine because I want something with a better switch on my main rifle.

For the money this is good light, it fits my sig p229 well and is bright, I don't like the on off switch location, as it is easy to turn on in the holster. but for a night stand pistol light its great.

I didn't give this item 5 stars mainly because it wobbles a little so its not as tight as I'd prefer. However, I'm not going to jumping up and down for it to really matter. I do love the strobe feature, and it is awfully bright too. I recommend this product for sure.

Shipped and received in less than 2 days. Excellent. Made of metal, not plastic. Very light. Very bright. I have not see how it stands to recoil yet. A little loose on the fit. Does not fit snug against the trigger guard on my sp2022. Moves slightly side to side and up down. Just a little. If the fit was tighter I would give 5 stars. Still a great buy for the price so far.Update*After leaving this light on at the range to get the feel for the balance of the firearm, I have a new opinion on it. After the first 5 rounds I checked the light, it turned on. After the next 5 rounds it did not.

fits my Sig p229 Elite and I tried it on my KSG, fits perfect and im about to order my 2nd one
