This salad bowl is a great size for any size salad. The pictures taken was a salad for two people. I love using natural items and this salad bowl is one of my new favorites. This bowl is very well made as well as the utensils, plus 3% of the cost to towards saving elephants. Highly recommended this item.

Coming from large families, we regularly host parties for holidays, events and celebrations. Over the years we have acquired quite a variety of serving bowls and utensils. My wife is very conscientious of our health and we always make sure to put out fresh salad and fruits at our get togethers. I saw this J&M Cafe Salad Bowl Set and thought it would be put to good use.Made of acacia wood, this is an especially beautiful bowl. The color is a rich caramel hue and the bowl feels weighty and substantial. It measures 11 3/4" across the top, 8" on the bottom and runs 4" high. The surface is smooth to the touch and the fine craftsmanship is undeniable.For those who are not familiar with acacia wood, it is used for furniture, flooring, cabinetry and cutting boards. Acacia is known for its strength and durability. It is naturally rot and water-resistant. All this makes for an excellent material to use in creating a salad bowl.The J&M Cafe Set comes with a pair of bamboo utensils as well as the bowl. There is a nicely sized serving spoon and spork (combination spoon and fork). Both measure 10" x 2 1/2". They are the perfect size for tossing and serving your food of choice. Often, when the utensils are on the small or narrow side, it's difficult to scoop up your salad or fruit without half of it falling off of the serving tool. These utensils will allow for quite a generous portion to be meted out on a plate. Like acacia wood, bamboo is naturally anti-bacterial and water-resistant. Both woods should be handwashed and dried immediately after rinsing to keep increase their longevity. Occasionally rubbing the bowl and utensils with mineral oil will also help.If you enjoy entertaining and regularly host get togethers, this gorgeous bowl will be put to use often. This is a beautiful salad bowl. The thickness of the rim and the size of the bowl are perfect for large salads. The serving tools are the perfect size and are easy to maneuver. I put an entire 10 ounce container of mixed greens and it holds it perfectly with room to add other veggies, etc. This looks so nice on the table for a family meal or for dinner guests but I've been using it just for myself for my big salads because it makes my meal feel more special. It's just so pretty. I'm thrilled with this.

This acacia serving bowl is well made and great quality. It has deep capacity which can accommodate quite bit of salad mix or food.It also includes a wooden utensils.Natural wood, eco friendly.For long lasting shine. I recommend washing it gently in a soapy water and dry it up immediately.Price is competitive.

Smooth finish -- the bowl is pleasant to touch. I think the finish is food-grade mineral oil, because that is what the listing says you should maintain the bowl with, but I am not sure. The listing says the bowl is acacia and the utensils are bamboo, and in the pictures the utensils have a lighter color. My utensils are the same color and finish as the bowl, so it looks more like a set. My bowl also looks nicer than the pictures, to me: darker finish with higher contrast between darker and lighter wood. There are holes in the utensil handles for hanging them.

(Sorry for the red lighting, I do that in the evenings). This makes a very good gift for people who love to cook. Acacia wood is nice as in serving utensils, good grip. The fact that it's not lacquered and is so -well-finished makes this set special.

I am so thrilled to be the new owner of such a beautiful salad bowl with matching serving utensils! This is really or gorgeous set, and would look great on any table! You can see the level of skill and care put into each piece...much better than anything you would find on most store shelves. If you are not buying this for yourself, it would make a fantastic gift for any occasion! Deserves more than 5 stars!
