Nice replacement for blazing hot halogen bulb!
Got these to replace the halogen bulb in a cool sconce light fixture we've had for many years. I had resisted putting this up in our present home because the old halogen bulb got EXTREMELY hot (yes, normal for halogen bulbs) and I didn't want to generate that heat again.Found these on Amazon and while I've only done an initial test to confirm both bulbs would light up, I'm very happy so far. These LED equivalent bulbs provide plenty of light but remain cool to the touch so no possibility of burnt fingers or other heat damage.I'll have to wait to see how long they last but I'm starting out with 5 stars at this point.

Suits my needs
Blinks at low light, but beyond threshold is bright and steady. I use it to iluminate my keyboard in dim light and I'm very happy with it.Suits my needs

Bulbs failed within 48 hours of install
The media could not be loaded. Two bad bulbs, both failed shortly after installation.Bulbs were operational without fault for roughly 24 hours. One bulb began randomly turning off and on by itself. The second bulb began to fail shortly after. They turn off for minutes or hours, then randomly turn back on. It could be a bad batch. I'm hesitant to reach that conclusion as both bulbs failed similarly. I'm not going to perform an engineering teardown. These bulbs do not appear reliable. Build quality needs improvement. The listing advertised these bulbs as rated for "30,000 hours." lol. Color reproduction was decent while it lasted. If anyone can recommend reliable R7S 78mm 4000K bulbs with high CRI and 900+ lumens, please let me knowProduct:R7S-78mm-Natural White4000K8 Watts900 Lumens

Very sickly ight output .
Was surprised based on specs as light output appears weak. Subsequently purchased a much physically larger unit and solved the problem. Read and consider light output spec careully. Nice packaging. Arrived in excellent condition.

Replacement for Halogen Bulb in a Torchere Lamp
This bulb perfectly replaced the 150 halogen lamp and gave off and equivalent amount of light, though slightly cooler on the color front. Replacement was easy and the dimmer works great with NO FLICKER that's very common, especially in older 'dimable' LED's. This bulb is dialed and works great.

Diameter of this lamp may be too large for your Tungsten R7 socket.
The large diameter shoulders of this lamp interfered with the ceramic heat insulation around the sockets. Hence, no electrical contact was made until I made room for the shoulders by breaking off small pieces of the ceramic insulators. Unfortunately, One of the pieces was way too big, removing 1/2 the insulation. However, once the lamp made contact, the lamp worked great. The downsize is that I can not use a 150 watt tungsten lamp in the future. However, I think since this LED is only 10 watts, there should be no problem. (moral is, if you start chipping away on the ceramic insulators, be patient and remove tiny pieces.)A better LED choice for any tungsten replacement needs a shorter or smaller light box such as: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09VDJY9GP/ref=sspa_dk_detail_8?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B09VDJY9GP&pd_rd_w=Nm1ij&content-id=amzn1.sym.0089de39-2448-4df6-a3d2-4943a23c9d2f&pf_rd_p=0089de39-2448-4df6-a3d2-4943a23c9d2f&pf_rd_r=5M118QC6JNS25XK6AJYN&pd_rd_wg=n6HxS&pd_rd_r=b4f322da-7d43-4ad2-b8d2-1282126ee12e&s=hi&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9kZXRhaWxfdGhlbWF0aWM
