Flush Trim Spiral Router Bit, 1/2 inch Shank Carbide Double Bearing Router Bit, Template Pattern Bit (3-7/8)

This bit worked so good for me. I couldn't ask for anything better.

The media could not be loaded. This bit works great and costs only a fraction of the big name brands like Whiteside. The unique design seems to work much better than a traditional straight flush trim bit. The 1/2 inch shank gives it a lot of rigidity. I did have to give the edges a very slight sanding with 220 grit but overall, there’s not much to complain about. Would buy again!

I had never heard of the Mabco brand but I decided to take a chance and I’m so glad I did. First of all, this bit is beautiful and feels really nice in my hands. More importantly, it’s very sharp and cuts cleanly. The double bearing design is great because I can use the template above or below the workpiece. With template routing, grain direction is important and sometimes you need to flip the workpiece over to prevent blowout. So far, this bit has exceeded my expectations and we’ll have to wait and see if it stands the test of time.

Does what it’s designed to do. The only thing that I can fault is it was very slightly out of balance and is much happier at low to medium rpm. Very clean cut however.

I tried the long bit on a piece of 11/2” oak following a pattern attached to the wood. I got a lot of kickback with this bit plus a lot of tear out on the profile when I was finally able to get some sort of shape on my wood. Would not recommend.

Works much better than the straight bits. Much less rips. Good value for what it does.
